Hey, I'm 15 and my friend is a liar. She's made up this guy who's everything ever girl could ever want. It's not like she's a stunner. She's not pretty and she's overweight! Her face is filled with spots and I sound evil but it's the truth! She keeps on making up these stories about how guys come over and flirt with her!
With this new one she says he has the same last name and the same birthday as this guy she LOVED like crazy! Talk about making it obvious! And just this second on msn she said "oh he just sent me a text" and I said to myself "oh I BET he's telling her he loves her or has asked her out or something" and the next thing she typed was "he just asked me out!" and that actually PROVES she's lying! What can I do?
I don't want to admit to her that I know she's lying but I don't want her to lie to me about all these "hot guys" that keep asking her out and flirting with her. I'm beginning to think she's doing it to make me jealous just because I've never really been with a guy.
I know I had a friend who did the same type of thing, except he knew it wasn't true, but sorely wished it could be. It was sad. Hanging out with him made me so much more confident in myself, almost at his expense.
I don't know, but I'm not sure whether you should play along, or break this girl's illusion and get her to do something about the fact that she doesn't get guys. Playing along might give her a weird demented confidence of sorts, but it'd be false, and the faster you get her to realize that, the better. (My friend had confidence in video games and when he portrayed himself in comics, which was the same sort of thing, and didn't lend itself well to real life.)

I'd play along, and then when you can, try to get over to her house when they're texting, and then when she goes to the bathroom or something take her phone and check for the texts. If they're there, then...well... I guess just laugh at yourself, and if they're not, she couldn't have deleted them if they're so in love right? Fool proof, kinda.
Oh for god sake show her sympathy. It's obvious she's lonely and insecure and needs to make up a fantasy world. Reality must be so harsh for her that she needs to live in this fantasy. Show compassion and mercy and just go along with her.
The problem is.. your accusing her of lying. You don't know for sure. And talking crap on her is what I consider back-stabbing.. not much of friend if you ask me. Confront her about what happened. Tell her you want to meet the guy and that if you don't then you have no choice but to stop trusting her. She will either confess or she will show you the guy.. even if he isn't exactly what you expected though.. maybe in her eyes he is gorgeous. So if you meet him and think he's a pig.. keep in mind people have different opinions.
She's definitely jealous of you and is very insecure. Like the last person, play along and ask her a lot of very specific questions. You can't just assume that she's lying. You need real proof. When you ask her a lot of questions, she might stumble on some of them, indicating to you that she a liar. Also, try to check her phone to see if those texts are really there... but if they aren't do not just scream it into her face. Talk to her quietly about it. Ask her why she did it. Maybe it's because of he acne. Maybe try to help her lose some of the weight. You are her friend after all.
Ha, wow. This is kind of funny. If it were me I would try to dig in and truly find out that these guys are fake. Who knows, maybe she isn't lying (doubt it). Tell her to invite her "lover" over or something to see how she acts in that situation. Maybe she will eventually spill her guts out and tell you the truth.
What to think. My good friend who lives with me was at home sleeping on the couch. She was wearing a skirt and had her legs wide open. We have guy...

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
My ideal first date would be to take a girl to do somethings she's never done before. Whether it be Ice Skating or Sky Diving, something that exciting that she won't forget. Id probably just wear blue jeans and a t-shirt, first dates with me will never be a dress up type thing. The date ends with atleast a smile on our faces, I can't promise anything more.
Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
I am extremely sarcastic and easy going. I hope we would both learn a lot about each other, but I can't tell you everything about me because what would we talk about on our second date?
Would we use this worn-out phrase as an excuse for being the screaming Banshees from Hell? Would we use it as a ploy for sympathy and attention? Would we use it as a reason not to go with you to Poker...
