ok here's the thing a lot of us claim to be an individual or seriously believe that we are when we are so not! so lets be honest here are you an individual? or do you find yourself in some stereotype like an emo, indie, popular, trendy, goth or whatever it may be.do you look at people and see what there wearing and go copy it and claim to be an individual or do you say oh who does that anymore or something but yet claim to be an individual? I'm an individual no doubt about it but I wasn't always so I just want to see how honest you can be here now if your not going to be honest don't answer
When I started high school, I hung out with a bunch of different groups, but a lot of my friends were punk. I tried to dress like them more than any other group, but it never really worked because I still didn't look like them. At some point, it occurred to me that the reason why I didn't look like them was because it's not my style. I hate following the crowd and fitting into stereotypes; everything with me is about self-expression and individuality. Even when I tried to copy other people, it didn't work because I always ended up wearing what I liked and not necessarily what was in style.
I seriously pondered over this question so many times. I've asked myself plenty of times what 'stereotype' would fit into.
I wear a lot of different types of clothes.sometimes trendy clothes, sometimes casual, sometimes girlish like dresses, sometimes boyish, sometimes sporty.it varies so much, there's no actual pattern at all. My closet is like a jungle. You would take one look at it and wonder if it belonged to a single person because of the variety of the type of clothes there are.
I don't hang out with Asian friends as most Asians do. Usually Asians are seen together in big cliques or groups. My family looks and asks me if I have a lot of Asian friends.I have a variety of friends of all races in a big group.and we all have different interests.
I love online games and video games, art, but at the same time I love to hang out at the mall and go to dances and parties and whatnot. I'm not a complete hermit but I don't party too much. I don't think I fit into the category for "popular" because I am very shy and don't make a lot of friends or speak to a lot of people. "Goth" and "Emo" are the opposites of what I'll ever be."Skaters" umm.I don't think so.
I guess there are some people who dead on fit into stereotypes but not everyone.
I wear what I feel comfortable in. I don't care what other people are wearing. I don't go buy something because it is cool (I don't own crocks, those plastic shoes everyone is wearing, I don't own those fuzzy boots that everyone was wearing a few years ago). I know what looks good on me and that is what I wear. What looks good on someone else does not necessarily look good on me. I am not a trend setter. I don't buy name brands just because they are name brands (Prada, Gucci, whatever). I think of myself as an individual because I wear what I want and what feels comfortable on me, not what other people like or what other people think I should be wearing.
I like you that's what people should be like were I live name brands are just not that big a deal you definitely seem like you are you and that's it - 7 months ago
