That's a good question. What is "truth"? I agree with the previous poster in that, with semantics, honesty is only ONE thing-- doing your best to present "the truth"-- while truthful can mean any number of things. Honesty is clearly "truth" while truthful is kinda murky.
Maybe I think TOO much about this, but if people can be manipulated so easily through brainwashing and interrogation, how do I know that I even know what the so-called truth really is? I mean, I went half my life thinking that a dream I had really did happen (I'm only 17, but still). :P

For me, I think being honest would be to tell the entire truth, like everything that happened. And just being truthful would be like, you didn't lie, but you didn't tell the whole story. lol I dunno, it's confusing, there's not a huge distinction in my opinion.
Aly-marie maybe the difference between honest and truth is some things are not other peoples business and you have a right to tell them what you want and keep the rest of your life personal. Although it can be confusing in relationships when you start getting serious with a partner having a truthful relationship is important in building strong friendship the a deeper love and than later maybe respect I don't know. - 7 months ago
