Ok, I want to get a brazilian wax but I never had one before. Should I try to do it myself or go to a professional.? If I go to a professional where do I go and how do I prepare? I just want to know what to expect.
I suggest you do to a professional, it's easy to mess waxing up at home and such a sensitive area would be a disaster. Look online or in your phone book and make sure the place looks clean when you arrive. The technician should wear gloves of course and she'll ask you how much or little you want off ( you want just a strip, if you want your butt crack done, etc). She'll spread the wax, apply cloth strips, press them in to catch the wax and quickly pull back to remove the hair. Yes it hurts, in my experience the bikini zone hurts more than anything lower. She might give you a mirror to see it yourself, then you're done! Done places will give you a calming lotion to apply, if not, pick up some "Bikini Zone" or something of the sort to apply yourself. Viola, you've had your first Brazilian!

Ok, thanks:0 I'm so nervous about having someone I don't know do it! You have any advice on how I can overcome the embarrassment? - 2 months ago

All I can say is it's much faster than going to the doctor and having your area touched. That's what I try to keep in mind, haha! I'm also more comfortable with women and have never seen a man giving brazilian waxes (which is more than I can say for appointments). - 2 months ago

Well, if you've never done it before, I suggest you go and see a professional. Usually you can go to a spa and they offer such services. I would prepare by going on the internet and looking up some specific info. (such as if you have piercings and tattoos, how to care for your skin before and after, ect.). I would also look up some places in the phone book and just give them a call, or ask some of your friends where a good place to go would be. And if you've never been waxed before (for example, your eye brows), then It's best to warn you it's going to hurt the first time because your not use to it. The skin is going to be sensitive, and if they don't have lotion, bring some (just plain lotion that will calm the skin). Hope this helped!
I decided it would be a good idea to get a do-it-yourself Brazilian bikini wax kit, and needless to say, it didn't go too well. I got it because I'm...
