Lately I seem to have been collecting a few of them. It's really getting annoying and hurtful, especially when they used to be a friend.

Girls and guys: how do you deal with them? Especially the former friend turned secret hater type?

Use the negative energy they send and transform it into a positive force to drive you forward. I have a couple, and I don't let it bother me. While they are sitting back hating, I'm doing something important with myself. You should do the same. By feeding into it, you are allowing him/her to control your life. Tell them to "kick rocks" and do what you have to do and leave them in your dust.

Ignorance. That's the best way to go. I know exactly where you are coming from. If you stop caring and show them that you don't give a f*** - they'll get the point sooner or later. What's the worst can they do?

You can't change'em. Ignore them and move on. It'll be a waste of time to actually take it way too seriously.

just ignore them.
if they want to be petty, that's fine.but trust me, you're not the only one who sees how immature they're being

also, sometimes people might be jealous because they're hurt by something, always good to check

I ignore them. The hating is just them being insecure and trying to drag you down into their misery. You have much more important things to worry about, right? Make sure haters can see that clearly.

The best way you can deal with this "issue" is to just laugh it off. say what ever and move on.
it does seem hard because what they say is hurtful.
but in the long run it is just childish and pathetic.
The only reason why they are "hating" is because they are simply jealous.

Yeah, when I first starting dating my boyfriend there was this girl who got all weird and started talking behind my back about us. It made me pissed because we were semi-friends and I had stood up to my actual friends countless times when they made comments about her. I just called her out on it and then stopped going out of my way to be nice to her. Hope that helps! :)

I just move on, I don't really feel they're worth my while so focus on the people in my life that are worthwhile. If a friend has turned this way she's obviously not worth it, just hold your head high and get on with it. I just don't think about it, if someone behaves badly towards you, just ignore them, I don't say anything back I just walk away. It's not really difficult, just disconnect yourself from it.
