Hi everyone!

I have trouble deciding what to study. I just spend a year studying law, but it wasn't my cup of tea. I felt jealous of people studying something they really enjoyed doing. I don't have a real vision of myself doing a particular job or something, so maybe you guys have some ideas for me :)

dislike:

maths
science
economics

like:

languages
organizing things
making arrangements
problemsolving
talking with people/listening to people

my character/personality:

calm
very organized
friendly
patient
helpful
honest
want the best
don't ever lose my temper

I am considering studying two languages (university), I think I would enjoy that but I'm scared because of the mistake I made while choosing last year. I also think I would enjoy (as work) translating, communicating with people. Could this be a good choice?

Update: Thanks for the replies :) I think I'm gonna go with Spanish - English (I live in Europe, I speak dutch). I feel good with the choice. I will also be analyzing both the languages, don't really know how that's going to be but I'm excited!    5 months ago

How about a representative for a travel company in a holiday resort abroad? You have to organize lots of stuff, like tours, etc, and you need to be patient and helpful. Large travel operators are always looking for people with language skills.

Translating is a great job and it pays well. I personally LOVE languages. That choice seems to be at the forefront of your mind. Just go for it! Better to change direction now than to spend 20 years doing a job you hate.

if you like to communicate with people, this would be awesome for you, and if you decide to take language courses, you could have a job that deals with traveling to different locations of the world!
