My man has said before that he thinks most women wear too much make up and that it detracts from their appearances instead of adding. I agree. Make-up is meant to enhance, not ready you for your clown school diploma.
That said, I wear make up most of the time, just only a teensy bit. Mascara, tinted moisturizer, and a little pressed powder to do away with shine.
I haven't worn lipstick around him because we always end up at least heavy petting and our lips go everywhere. I need a man's view on the subject. I want to look smokin' when my boyfriend and I get together next week. Please share your opinions about women and lipstick, gloss, stain, and other make-up if you have them too.
Update: How about in a private sexual situation? Say the woman is trying to seduce her man, then what? Same?

A lot depends on your complexion and what features you want to accentuate or tone down. I don't care for dark lipstick with a fair complexion. I like lipstick that is neutral to almost on the light side. You didn't mention lip liner which can be hot if done right. But yes you're 100% right about the clown diploma. And too much powder makes a girl look ill.
I know you want a man's opinion on this but if you are worried about your gloss and lipstick coming off, buy the long lasting kind from maybelline and other brands from the drugstore. You can't scrub that crap off and usually mine will look perfect for over 24 hours. Now, you may lose a little shine but you can put that back on and still look like you just put it on.
