I work out at the gym for at least 3 hours a day every day. I run for an hour (about 8 miles) then bike for an hour and do strength training for an hour. is this okay or obsessive?

If you enjoy it then just keep going, its more than most people do allot more considering you do that every day but if you see results and enjoy it then keep doing it. Though their are different routines that can be allot less time consuming and produce same results.

I work out for 3 hours and I don't find myself to be obsessive because I enjoy fitness. If you think that you enjoy doing 3 hours of workout than who is to stop you? I don't think its obsessive unless you were hurting your body badly - meaning you were pushing youself farther than you can go. If your workout routine, as you have mentioned, is easy enough for you then keep going.

Some people may find this obsessive but I guess if this is what you want than in your mind set it may not be obsessive.

it all depends on your level of stamina you have in your body and how fit you are. some people might find it obsessive as you have said but I saw it as totally normal. I always do 3 hours a day and that is because I only work out on machines. as for you, you run, bike and do strength training.

If that's what you want to do and it makes you feel good, go ahead. But you can do a lot less exercise everyday and get the same results with a different workout plan though.

I agree with assie90. If you enjoy it, keep it going. But if you're doing it to lose weight, that's not healthy. Body starts to burn muscles instead of fat when it reaches a certain point. Best way to get toned is doing 1-3 miles of cardio (even 3 is a bit too much).

obsessive. It's good to be in shape, but I think that's taking it too far. Maybe cut everything in half and try to aim for 1 1/2 hours. As long as you're eating right and working out about 3 times a week, you should be fine.

wow I can only do 20mins. But 3 hrs, I might say just a little obsessive lol. I could probly do the running or walking, and biking but shit I would hit the floor when it came to the strength.
