I'm having guy trouble with the guy friend I really like (as a friend)

Joking about harming the other guy is likely also a sign he's got some possessiveness going. Does he like you? Hmm depends on how we define like. Anyway if he skipped his chance last year that's his own fault. As for what you should do now my opinion is nothing. You don't need to take on the burden of preserving a relationship in which you aren't being treated with respect.

hmmm Well one of my best friends is the girlfriend of a buddy of mine and I have fallen for her so... uh it sounds like this guy friend of yours is an emotional train wreck waiting to happen. If he's crying and stuff, that's not really that attractive ya know? I would argue that friendship has chemistry though or why be friends? I know that the more I talked with my girl friend the more I realized how cool she was and knew that we'd be good together because we always had fun together and whatnot. Our relationship was easy and that's cool.

But if you feel that there is no chemistry why be friends? What positive qualities do you see in him that makes him a good friend and why not a boyfriend? I'd get with the other guy and tell him to make the cry boy back off.
