My 17 year old brother is hanging out with a guy from this gang. His friend is really scary and takes lots of drugs (and probably sells them too). I don't know how to tell my brother to get away from the freak.

"It's just weed" is an excuse. Just weed can lead to other drugs. A school counselor or your parents are good people to talk to.
Just tell your bro first if he won't stop then you'll get your mom & dad in on it. If you truly care for your bro then your gonna do what's best even if he doesn't think so. Good luck!

Everyone has crazy high school stories. It's probably not such a big deal. I get the feeling you're making a mountain out of a molehill by your use of the word "drugs". What type of drugs? If he's just smoking weed who cares? Lots of people smoke weed, eat bars and rolls and stuff and turn out fine.
Now if your brother's starting to blow a lot of coke or is shooting heroin into his arm that's a problem. And sadly, there's not much you can do about that.

Hannah, you should really let your brother know how worried you are about him, and also talk to your parents, or some other adult (like a school counselor).
If your brother is hanging out with a crowd like this, he could easily start getting into things that could really mess him up for the rest of his life.
A buddy of mine was in a gang when he was younger, and he is just now starting to get his life back together (although he is on daily medications that try to level him out, he did a lot of drugs, and they had a lasting effect).
You need to get you brother some help so he doesn't end up getting himself, or other people hurt.

Well he is 17 and he probably won't listen and he will just keep on hanging out with the guy just cause he thinks it makes you mad...and why would he listen anyway. The best thing to do is to say nothing.
