In your typical movie, every character is introduced in a scene that sort of gives you a hint about what they'd be like. There may be a background song playing, and the camera zooms in on a certain part of your body, or starts at your feet and slowly pans up. Keep it realistic, nothing sci-fi or fantasy oriented. I'll start with mine.
A group of friends show up at a party, and while trying to talk to each other over the loud music, one of them asks "Where's Sean? Isn't he coming?" Another responds with "You know Sean, he's such a homebody. He's probably at home right now playing video games."
As the person who replied is speaking his line, the scene switches to a winding road surrounded in both sides by a forest and a black 1980s Camaro Z28 is speeding down the road. He's getting the car sideways in some turns and over it all, Powerman 5000's "Drop the Bombshell" is playing. The camera view keeps switching back and forth between outside the car and 3 different angles inside the car: Looking at the review mirror, looking at the hands on the steering wheel/shifter, and looking at the feet on the gas pedal. You don't see more of him than that yet. After about a minute of this, the music suddenly stops as a deer abruptly jumps into the road and he swerves to avoid it, having a tire blow as he swerves. The car spins around a bit and eventually comes to a stop on the road. He steps out of the car with the camera looking at his feet as he walks around to where the blown tire is. He then bends down to look at it and you finally get a full view of what he looks like. Then he says "Dammit! That's the third one this month!"
The scene flashes back to the party where his friends are at as they continue to talk a little bit about how boring he is before the subject changes.
I like this idea for a scene because it shows that the character who represents me has a lot of aspects to his life and his personality that not even his closest friends know about, which is a key thing with me.
Really great question. They don't give enough credit here on guys-girls for asking a GOOD< THOUGHTFUL question vs. the common: 'My boy friend looks at other girls." type of thing.
I'm an Asian woman so I would want the soft background music. And the camera would start as a close=up, maybe because I have the startling contrast of light skin and black hair, and the sort of natural smile we have that comes from our eyes.
I would want the camera to pan down my shoulders and arms to the book I am reading. The camera should play on my hands as I turn the pages, show clearly what I am reading, with a voice over of my thoughts about it.
The camera would follow my glance as I take in the people around me (I am in a cafe or restaurant.
Very nice, and thanks for playing along. I don't think I'll be getting very many answers to this question. unfortunately as most people here just don't want to have to be creative with their answers =( - 5 months ago

The scene would be in a quiet bedroom with sunlight peeking through the window. An alarm would go off and "Institutionalized" by Suicidal Tendencies would start playing in the background. The camera view would move from the window to my hand knocking the alarm clock off the nightstand. The camera would slowly pan up my arm to the covers I'd be hiding under. I'd throw the covers off and the camera would be directly in my face. It would pan down my body and back up.
I'd jumped out of bed, race to the closet and then to the bathroom, the camera following at my feet. I'd run out of the bathroom a minute later, clumsily putting on my shoes. The camera would follow my back as I race down the stairs and out the door, iPod and skateboard in hand.
No, it was just meant to imply that there are aspects of myself and my life that I choose to keep secret from even my closest friends and family. Things I won't share with anyone. But for the record, none of my friends are aware that the main reason I don't go out much is because I'm tired after spending so much time out riding on my motorcycle. - 5 months ago
