Do you believe in destiny? No, I'm not quoting TLC...
What do you think of the butterfly effect theory?
Is there any truth to the 6 degrees of separation?

I believe...in the almighty, the God, the ruler, that he has a plan and we are all cast in this domino effect motion picture of his wonderful genius.

I believe in God, and I believe He has plans for all of us and His plans are good, for He is good.

Okay, how's this one: I inherited the house that I live in. I am the only one of my brothers who does carpentry work. In tearing down the wall in my basement, I found a journal and family album dating back to 1863. All of my brothers planned to sell the house immediately and I chose to fix it up, with the help of my father. If my brothers had got their way, my family history would be lost to whomever they were going to sell the house to. And my Aunt had owned the house for as long as anyone in my family could remember so the family album was always there, but it wasn't until my aunt passed away and by coincidence I found this family album.

However, I also believe in being tested vs destiny. There are things that seem to good to be true but they are only temptations and if we don't steer clear of them, then things like karma open up a can of whoop a$$, and then we know better. It is the consequences of not only your own actions but, also of the company you keep. Sometime friends can help you succeed in what feels like destiny and sometime they can delay our progress.

You make your own "destiny". No preconceived plans. When you think about it, destiny is sorta BS cos for there to really be destiny.. don't you have to know what you are destined to do? otherwise what your are doing now is really up to you, and then it isn't destiny is it? The existence of what we call destiny can't be proven, kinda like you can't prove the existence of God,unicorns, fairies, demons, ghosts. But at the same time you cannot disprove the existence of God, unicorns, fairies, demons and ghosts. Destiny is a concept that people made up and I believe that closest thing that comes to destiny is goal setting. Setting your own goals and trying to achieve them is sorta like destiny.

You could also say that if people believe in something enough, then it becomes real, to them atleast, so people can believe in God, unicorns, fairies, demons and ghosts and they might be real.

I personally believe in Karma and the actions you make WILL have their consequences and some new doors may open to you and others will close.

People should live in the now, the future nor the past exist yet or any longer.

I'm just throwing around ideas and I myself don't entirely understand somethings that I come up with but I do know this. You make your own "destiny".

I too believe in God and believe He has a perfect plan set out before us. However, He gave us the option of free will to choose the path to walk, the straw to choose and which box to check. Without free will there is no love and without love there is no life. He knows which way we are going to go and what the outcome is going to be. I believe that He lets us decide while He is still in control of the situation. This is a very deep topic with tons to be explained. Good question . . .

Yes, yes and yes.
I believe there is a pre-conceived plan on how things are supposed to go in life...but how we go about reaching the ultimate goal differs.

You make your own destiny but factors outside of your control could be manipulated to either help or hinder your path.

Butterfly effort must absolutely be true to a certain extent, though measuring it is nearly impossible.

I'd guess we've got 16 degrees of separation or maybe 160. If I am in any way 6-people-close to Brad Pitt, I'd have done something about that long ago ;)

I don't know. I never really paid so much attention to destiny--or anything like that.
