Hillary Clinton has spent her entire life in politics changing EVERYTHING. She has unparalleled experience and knowledge.

Here comes Sarah! She has 2 years of experience as governor. She believes creationism should be taught in school along side science. She's a lifetime member of the NRA. People call her a "reformer" but she's beyond far right conservative.

All Sarah is is a pretty face. She isn't a leader, she hasn't proven herself, she's just a pretty face McCain and the Republicans picked to make McCain look more human and to attract those who fall for this trick.

Women all over want to stop being treated like a tool for men to achieve, well, the Republicans sure don't think so. This is an ABSOLUTE insult to ALL women, ESPECIALLY Hillary.

She didn't get to be vice-president running mate because of her record, she got it because of how she looks, and that she's a woman.

WOMEN SHOULD NOT BE TREATED LIKE BILLBOARDS.

I have no problem with HER per say, but she lacks the intelligence needed to be in office. Period. She doesn't have much experience (but neither does Obama, so that's not a good point to bring up.) She doesn't know ANY facts about our history, and for someone who's supposed to be shaping our government, that's BAD. She's female? So what? SHe's also an idiot, and honestly, I lose respect for any woman that goes "She's a woman and should be vp!". She's rude, she's not very bright, and not fit to be VP in ANY day or age. Her own state didn't like her.

Disagree BIG TIME. Sarah Palin stands for conservative values which McCain is laking, therefore he was VERY smart in picking her because of her conservative ideals. Want to talk about experience? Obama does not have the experience either! Hell he is connected to terrorist groups, refused to pledge alliegence to the flag. Sarah will, in time, prove herself with experience. Disagree she got it by how she looks. Yes part of why she got it is because she is a woman, but the other part is because of her conservatism, which Mccain lacks being completely conservative since he is bipartisian on a lot of things. Being a liberal, you should want creationism being taught in schools, so what's the problem with her saying that? And so what if she is a NRA member? It's her right, a lot of conservatives are! Doesn't mean anything! Conservatives believe in the amendment right to bear arms, which shows she supports it. She isn't running for PResident so she doesn't need a lot of experience. She will get it in time and you watch, she will be something. She is supporting conservative values and do you know many WOMEN who are MAYOR, GOVERNOR, and a MOM? GO SARAH GO

Question Asker If McCain wanted a hardcore conservative there were TONS of more qualified people, even females he could have picked. He chose her though. This says something about the decision. And seriously, read up on the "terrorist group" because this is the Red Scare all over again (look it up if you don't know what it is). Palin's own pastor came from a village where he banded all the people together, robbed, and drove an innocent woman out because he said she was a witch. This is also terrorism. - A month ago
Answerer That pastor didn't kill thousands of innocent people. It was a one time incident and it has NOTHING really to do with Sarah or anything related to her position nor her campaign. Who else would he had picked? Condelezza Rice, who has said she will never run for President nor Vice President? If anything she is getting criticized for her looks and they are making her look less qualified for some reason. - A month ago
Question Asker Exactly. The association of William Air (probably not how its spelled) to Obama and the pastor to Palin are both ludicrous. Both of them. There are plenty of qualified republican females out there in office. Also, William Air was never convicted of murder, he actually went on to receive the Chicago Good Samaritan Award (something like that), and now he's a professor at a university.

Both accusations of association for Obama and Palin are, as I said, ludicrous. - A month ago

Um, with all do respect, she has an 80% approval rating.and how can you say she has no experience and is just a pretty face? She has MORE experience that OBAMA.who is running for PRESIDENT. NTM, if you want to say that she's just a pretty face, how about Obama is just the right race? This is all about a black man running for president. He has absolutely no qualifications to run a country.
And if you want to blame people for what happened to Hillary, blame the Democrats.THEY turned their back on her and picked Obama. It has NOTHING to do with the fact that Hillary isn't Ms. America.she just wasn't liberal enough and wasn't the "hollywood" type that people voted for. It's amazing to me that people are saying she has no experience and they just picked her because she is a woman, when CLEARLY she is more qualified that Obama AND he's only where he is because of race.
If you really think about it, McCain needs A) A conservative running behind him to get the conservative vote and although Romney is conservative, his Mormon beliefs hurt him (sadly).and B) the independent vote, which happen to be many females that wanted Hillary because SHE was female.
This girl isn't a pretty face.she is a hard @ss which is what the country needs.

BTW.what does this have to do with relationships?

Endymion Meh, all kinds of silly stuff gets discussed in the 'other' category :) - 2 months ago
Question Asker Do you know what bush's approval rating was after 9/11? How can you say she has more experience than Obama. Wow. Obama has been in political office for over 5 years, she's been in it 2 years.

And so you know, Obama being black has actually made it harder for him to be accepted. It isn't helping him that he's black, the polls show this. I can also see you haven't spent ANY time watching Obama speak or debate, because his race is definitely not why he's where he is. - 2 months ago
Answerer Bush has NOTHING to do with this election, so I am not even going to waste time discussing that.
If you really look into it, you would know that Obama has spent 143 days in the Senate. He has NO experience with foreign policy...she does just by being in Alaska. And regardless, she's running VICE President. He is trying to RUN THE COUNTRY!
And yes, I have seen his speech...the one where the teleprompter lost signal and he had NO words. AND if you listen to yourself, you'd realize you just said - 2 months ago
Answerer That you think he is capable to run a country because he is a good speaker. We need people that are experienced...not good talkers! - 2 months ago
Cool-Relax How does living in Alaska give someone experience with foreign policy? You do realize that Alaska is part of America, right? And she's just the governor; her duties are to her state and no one else. Where does foreign policy come into play?

And being vice president puts her a heartbeat away from presidency. If McCain drops dead, she would be running the country.

By the way, everyone uses a teleprompter when they make a speech. That says nothing about the quality of what they have to say. - 2 months ago
ramkid To the guy who asked this question, you're retarded. Besides what the answerer said about him spending 143 days in the senate, Obama isn't black. If you're going to vote for someone at least know some basic things about him so that when you can't explain why he should be president because of what he has done you could fall back on them. FYI Obama is half white, 44% arab, and 6% black. As for cool-relax, I could point you to a question where you admitted governors deal with foreign policy more than... - A month ago
ramkid Senators and that a governor would make a better president because they have executive experience. But just in case you don't know how governors deal with foreign policy, I'll let you go get some information from wikipedia and maybe you'll learn a thing or two. - A month ago
Question Asker Ramkid, do you know exactly what a President of the United States does? Like, how he passes laws, and pretty much all his expectations? - A month ago

I definitely go for Obama. HOWEVER, what is wrong with having a woman with only 2 years of experience ? I'm sure the Republicans aren't stupid enough to pick someone out of the blue. I've read many positive feedbacks about this lady and she seems to me very capable of doing it.

I recently interviewed a few ladies for a management position. The majority had a lot of experience, but there was one that really caught my attention. She had less years of experience, but she was really smart, had a lot of innovative ideas and very creative. She really surprised me- and guess what? I hired her! And she's been working for me for the past month and I love her work!

Question Asker See, that's the point. The republicans made this HUGE cow about how Obama doesn't have enough experience, well, he has over 5 years experience, and Sarah has 2. Now they change it around saying, "Oh its quality that counts, that's why Sarah's so great". It was NEVER about quality, they just changed the tune to fit themselves. - 2 months ago

Question Asker Glad to see you're able to understand what this woman stands for. She's spitting in the face of Hillary, a woman who got where she was through hard work, charisma, and struggle. There are TONS of great Republicans who have lots of experience McCain could have picked, but he didn't. Sarah's only where she is as a VP because McCain needs a fresh look. - 2 months ago
Jennifuzz Ummm...Hillary got where she is because her husband was the President. Her direct experience in politics came after Bill left the White house. - A month ago

I don't think it's an insult to Hillary Clinton; it has nothing to do with her. If McCain was considering her as a running mate, it would be an insult, but she was never an option.

I also don't think it has to do with her looks. I think McCain chose Palin simply because she's a woman so he can have a historical campaign to compete with Obama's. As far as her beliefs go--are you really surprised that she's a conservative Republican? I don't think that says anything about her abilities as vice president; her lack of experience, however, makes me question her.

Women shouldn't be treated like billboards, yet that's what your post does. You put the idea out there that Palin was chosen because of her looks. I didn't take McCain's decision as an insult. Your post, on the other hand, I do take offense to. Attractive women are capable of holding positions of authority, and people can respect them for things other than their looks. Anyone with sense will look for more than just a pretty face in Palin. I think you're just creating issues where there aren't any. This is a huge step in women's history--don't write it off as sexism.

Question Asker What about all the other SUPER qualified Republican men and women? Why is that Sarah's picked? Out of all of them? The fact that she was picked because she's a woman IS EXACTLY WHY ITS DISRESPECTFUL TO ALL WOMEN, AND HILLARY. Hillary got where she is because of a lifetime of hard work and experience, and now Sarah gets picked because she's a woman.

I never said attractive women couldn't hold government positions. - 2 months ago
Answerer I think McCain just wanted a woman and someone who was young since a lot of people focus on his age. I agree that he should've chosen someone with more experience, but it's an insult to the political system as a whole, including Hillary Clinton--it's not specific to her. And I am in fact female, so please stop speaking for me by saying it's an insult to all women because I'm not insulted.

If you think that attractive women can hold government positions, don't harp on Palin's looks. Who cares? - 2 months ago
Question Asker If you read the title of my question, I have a question mark at the end. I never "spoke for you". I merely posed a question, hence, the question mark, and also the poll.

Attractive women can hold government positions, yes, but even they have to work harder to get where they want to go, whereas Sarah was just picked as a VP, most likely because of image. Physical appearance and gender, if both are mainly the deciding factors in choosing anyone for a high-level government position, is an insult. - 2 months ago
Answerer Your comment said, "The fact that she was picked because she's a woman is exactly why it's disrespectful to all women." There's no question mark there, it's a statement.

It's your opinion that she was chosen because of her appearance and gender. I personally don't think her appearance was a deciding factor. I think McCain was looking for someone young, and when you go for someone young, of course there will be people who find them attractive. It's a lurking variable. - 2 months ago

I am so glad you agree about the women being treated liek billboads. I asked a wuestion on here before about why guys treat us like eye candy and that's all we are, and everyone got offended! But I know not all guys are like that but a lot are. So thank you for not being like that. As for Sarah Palin, I honestly didn't know who she was until I read about her. I think it is great he picked a woman. I thnk a man and woman would make a great team because they can help each other see things from a totally different POV. But I think Sarah Palin wasn't the wisest choice. She hasn't done much to better our country, so I don't think she would be veyr good. But I hope obama wins anyway.
