I am getting a purity ring that very boldly says "true love waits". I know that the majority of guys, especially my age, are just after sex. Would you not bother approaching a girl if you noticed she was wearing this?
Either way, I'm still getting it. The way I see it is if guys do take notice and don't pursue me because of it, then I will have weeded out the guys who aren't the kind I am looking for. I just want to see what you think. thanks guys! =]
Update: Please keep in mind that I am getting this ring for myself, on my own free will. It is not there to remind me that I am being watched, and it is not there to remind me of my commitments, which are already in my heart.

Update: (continuation) For me it would just give me that extra smile for the day when I am reminded that there is a guy that will meet up to my standards/expectations somewhere out there, and that I won't have to lower the bar 4 any1.

Well I don't actually know what purity rings look like, so I guess I wouldn't be bothered, but even if I did know, I still wouldn't be bothered. I think your plan of weeding out guys is very intelligent and true, those who don't take the time to get to know you really aren't worth your time.
