Ok, so yesterday I had probably the worst day of my life. It started when I got in trouble at work for something that didn't even involve me. Then I was training my horse in an arena and some old lady kicked me out so she could train her horse instead. Afterwards my boyfriend picked me up and we were going back to his house for a change of clothes for him. We got into a car accident. His car went up under the other car, totaling his, hers had only a large bump on the bumper.
We finally got back to my house, where my family was having an end of summer party, and everyone already knew what happened and started asking questions. Then my ex-boyfriend shows up and hung around the party for a while. This is the guy who cheated on me then left me for the other girl about a year ago :(
Then my friend calls me and says she needs me to cover for her because she's going out with a guy that night. Then my other friend (who's 15) shows up and hangs out with my boyfriend and I. She starts asking me a ton of sex questions and stuff. Then explains that she may be anywhere from 4-5 months pregnant!
I'm getting completely stressed out and freaking out because now I not only have to deal with my problems but I have to deal with everyone Else's. I just need some ideas on how to unwind, please. How do you unwind after a long day, like this? I just really need to find a way to relax for a while.

Update: oh my god, I'm beyond happy at this point in time! My 15-year-old friend finally got her period again, turns out it must've just been stress after all :) I hope she learned her lesson about sex without a condom now.    2 months ago

Greatest thing to do when I'm upset. Lock yourself out in your room, put some Jack Johnson music and dance to it! Look for the song "Free" and you will see what I mean =]

I go for a long walk. And I rant. Alone. Essentially I just get all the stuff off of my chest -- not just in my mind, I'm actually talking about it. I don't turn around until everything is out. On the way back I'm just thinking over it and coming up with the solution.

If you're angry, that's fine. If you start to cry, go with it. The key is to stop holding it in.

Have you ever typed up something while you were angry? I don't know about you, but anger makes me type fast, and pound the keys. It's satisfying in a strange way. Ranting to yourself is like that, but much better. You're getting your anger and frustration out, making room for more rational thoughts.

The calm that follows is similar to that of post-crying sleep; the kind you had as a kid (or maybe still have) when something really bad happened.

Go for a walk. Don't start making your way back home until you're relaxed. Expect an hour and a half to 2 hours of walking.

that sounds like a shitty day for sure glar to hear your ok from that accident.

don't stress, it shortens you life span. breathe, first off don't worry about other peoples problems. frankly there not yours to worry about, if anything just tell them that they can all you if they ever want to talk about it. no need for you to stress with their mistakes. tell your friend who may be prego to talk to her parents.

to your friend about covering for her. you know it is ok to say no. you don't have to please everyone, when you try to that will make you stress out even more. she knew she had to work, her fault for not planing around that.

to unwind, turn off your phone, don't take calls, be alone. you said you have a horse, go for a nice long ride. take a long bubble bath lol, lay in bed and read a book. the one thing you should think tho that yes today sucked. but tomorrow is gonna be a better day.

I just sleep. I get a big blanket, a nice pillow, a mattress, maybe a cat or two, stuffed animals maybe, and I just crash. When I wake up, I just crash again. Haha, I love sleep! It's a great way to relax because when you're sleeping you aren't thinking.

Hope this helped, and wow, you really did have an incredibly terrible day. I've never had that many things go wrong at once. A couple years from now this ought to be a good story though, : )
