So what is your opinion after watching Sarah Palin's speech tonight?

I thought she did a good job of getting through her speech and stressing the points that she wanted to make. Given the stage and the stories swirling around her, it was impressive for someone new to that kind of thing. I'm definitely not a fan of her, but I will say she did well as far as doing what she wanted to do, achieving the initial goal.

What's so impressive about the speech? Last time I checked, they have speech writers writing speech; all you need to do is rehearse and give. None of these candidates are addressing the real issues, like the rise on inflation, the devaluing dollar, the high gas prices, health reforms, patriot act abuses, blah blah blah. One thing you got right is, controversial presidency cause yea, none of the controversial issues are being addressed. As far as Palin is concerned--again, another distraction for the sheeple. While the people are busy reading on teh gossip of the pregnancies and who knows what else, again, the discussion of real issues is overlooked cause the sheeple rather discuss stupid subjects. Yes, the country is doom and no messiah is coming to save it!

The GOP is counting on the religious right and the gender fascists and maybe they're calculation is right,really the gender fascists and the religious fanatics are the same thing.

I only got to see the end of her speech, so my opinion probably isn't valid, but I wasn't really impressed. All I heard were negative comments about her opponents and nothing about her policies.

In her defense, I think that's really all this election has come down to--who can insult their opponent in the most graceful manner? However, I read somewhere that one of McCain's aids actually said that this isn't a campaign about issues anymore, they're just trying to bring Obama down in the eyes of voters. I don't think Obama has sunk to that level, but I'm a Democrat, so I'm a bit biased.
