I'm 17 a senior I high school who has never been on a date, never had a boyfriend, first kiss. I don't think boys like me and I don't think I'm attractive. Is this bad? I'm not super skinny or super fat. I'm thick because I play water polo. Honestly I think boys are intimidated by me or maybe because I'm too shy. OMG I need help.
Boys probably are intimated by you. You're not a little mousy type girl, and they are afraid they can't handle you, so they don't try. This will pass as you graduate high school and get out into the real world with real men. Just be patient and things will improve. You're at a difficult age right now, but things will get better. I know.
Most girls by your age are pretty experienced and well beyond virginity, I am guessing this is your dilemma. Here's my advice to you, let what happens happen, and stop worrying about the small stuff, focus on the big picture in your life. IE your dieing grandpa or whatever. Things that you can't replace or time you can't recover. Yes sex is fun it can be great, it can also be LAME depending on who your with.
So I'd just keep doing what your doing. Don't change who you are to get somebody, it will end up in failure anyhow, because your not really that person and attempting to be won't work.
IF you want to attract a guy, spruce up for school everyday make a point of it!! Smell good! Dress well! Hint for ya. Tight jeans, belly shirts, low ride jeans, Those belts with holes in them the bigger ones glitter in em makes em even better, Heck I've even seen girls look hot with a shirt on and like a dress type shirt over it that's hella CUTE! ... Hair color not totally huge.. although some guys do have preferences. I personally like dirty dish blondes with some highlights... that's a good common combo. or just straight blonde... that is if blonde looks good on you...remember blonde looks good on some girls but doesn't on others others look hotter as a brunette its all in your body structure.
You're fine! If you don't have a boyfriend oh well. You need to worry about you. If by chance a guy strolls into your life then worry about it. Until then, concentrate on you and what you love to do. You never need another person to be whole in life, or else god would have issued you somebody like the military does gear.
Guys can be EASILY Intimidated, if so and your sensing this BREAK THE ICE!! It's not going to hurt anything! Also you know what? I bet if you two get talking you probably hit it off more than you think. Just cause there scared to say hey don't mean they have no balls. Now with some this may be the case. Most it's just cause in their mind they fear that rejection SO much that they need not even both because they themselves think in their head..."Well she'd just say no anyhow, So what's the point in wasting my breathe, she's outta my league." that's what a guy actually thinks a lot when he's intimidated those are the actual thoughts going through his mind. In his mind he's thinking I wish she'd make the first move... If you do you might be surprised to realize that guy that doesn't talk much to you or other girls might open right up!
Now your weight, your FINE middle of the road is perfect! I wouldn't worry about it! Heck I even know a guy I work with that likes girls 5'4" and 220lbs So I wouldn't wreck my life worrying about it. Now is that always the case NO! Most guys don't really dig fat chicks no! Medium to small bigger than medium for 90 percent of guys is a no go.
MORE POWER TO YA! you haven't lost the virginity, good! that's going against the curve.
Water polos a great sport! And when the time is right, you will find the right guy. YOU need to feel COMFORTABLE. however, there is nothing wrong with vulnerability.
Talk to more guys! Be flirty and fun! You will realize at how fast you will get a boyfriend or a boy friend. Also, try to wear different clothes, do your hair in a different way to get cuties to notice you. And it's OK if you don't have a boyfriend. Worry about education and your general life right now.
I just thought I'd speak out about this because I'm 18 years old my friends range from 16 to 19 but a lot of my friends and people I know are 16 /17! And to be honest I'm shocked that girls now a days...
