Best General Advice?

The only person you can change is yourself.

My father, on his deathbed, and me with being just overwhelmed with his approaching death and a recent break-up, told me:

"Be like the phoenix and rise from your ashes to become greater and brighter than you ever were before. Be born anew into the person you were meant to be, so that no hardship will ever overtake you."
