Hey... I'm just a typical girl wanting to know some answer's... For the past 8 month my step mum has been thinking I have an eating disorder. Which I really haven't I don't know how I can convince her that I haven't The truth is it's really getting me down. Every time she mentions it because I know I haven't got a problem. I'm just really confused and I need help on how to convince her... We've had soo many rows over this. I understand she is worried because most girls my age have them but I honestly haven't. I'm happy the way I am and I wouldn't change it. I hope someone can help me please x

Well , if you really are not too skinny, then you might want to find some charts online (try to find them from reliable sources) that map a teenage girl's height to her weight, and show it that you're not much below average. Do some research, find out what is considered anorexic, what is considered very skinny, and show her that you don't fall in these categories.

Well at the moment there are several things you can do; you could leave it and ignore her/do what you're currently doing, eat so much food that you become extremely overweight=P, or consult a professional and see what they think.

Look don't argue with her.Just let her think whatever she wants. But if you really care try to find ways that will make her believe you. Don't worry she's just a typical mom worrying about her daughter. You just keep being the way you are as long as its not bad and you feel good about it.

Hey so I have been in your position, my best friend thought that because I was skinny I had a eating disorder and she told me practically every day and I got so mad every time I finally got fed up with it and sat down and made it clear that I don't have a problem and after that she stopped but had to make sure she got it through her head. I hope this helped.

Why does she think that? Just because other girls your age have it? Are you too thin? You should ask her what it will take to convince her...
