Ok well... my best friend died in a car accident a little over a month ago. I miss her so much, and I can't stop thinking about it. The sad thing is, I was supposed to be in that car with her, and I would've died too. There were 2 other people in the car that died too. She slid on ice and hit a power pole. I went to the funeral and had a panic attack. It hurts too because 6 months ago, another best friend of mine killed himself. My friends are dying, and I'm just sitting here being sad all the time.

I am really sorry to hear about your loss.

It sounds like you may have some survivor guilt too (which is when you feel guilty about being alive when they are not,... "I was suppose to be in the car too").

Dealing with losses varies between people like hapa18 said. Some people shut themselves in, some people focus on work, some just cry till they can't cry anymore, some exercise,... it really varies.

I have found that talking about how you feel, and also time can help to ease the pain. I believe that a part of you will always grieve for them, but it won't hurt so much later on.

I wish you and your families the best in this time.

First, I'm so sorry to hear about your friends. I know how much it hurts to lose someone you care about. As for dealing with the pain, it varies from person to person, I found that talking about it and how your feeling, helps some. Or writing it down in a journal/diary, just getting the whole story and what your feeling out in the open. Those are really good ways of dealing with the pain, at least it did when my friend killed herself. I listen to a lot of music and at the time I was in martial arts, so I took alot of my anger and pain out on the punching bag. So maybe if you go to a gym or just do some hard work outs at home, that'll help too.

Exercise causes endorphins that makes people happy, it may not make you happy but you may feel a release of some of the weight you're carrying right now. I hope this will help.
