It totally depends on what you want to get out of the trip what you want to do etc. I basically got into the same situation as you are. Both my best friends have trips planned with their significant others and I wanted to travel anyway. I have a few friends in the UK and really wanted to go there so that's what I'm gonna do Ima travel around the UK meet up with some friends for like 4-5 days of the 15 ill be there and for the rest ill just do what I want. Basically the advantages of going solo is you can do what you want when you want and you'll be forced to socialize with local people and you'll experience a lot morethis way. The advantage of a group is well its a fun vacation with friends but you don't always want to do what the group wants and because you're in a group you're less likely to meet new people.

Group traveling is the best! You have people to talk to on the plane, hang out and just enjoy your vacation. Solo traveling is dangerous due to so many thieves taking suitcases and other things out in public. I'm sure you want to travel really bad, but if your going solo, I wouldn't recommend it.

The best is having one or two people with whom you can share the experience. When you're in a group, everything you do is up for vote so you might not get to see what you want. Go solo in that case and build the memories you want. You're just going to have to get out of your comfort zone a little and talk to people on the way.

I did a few weeks in Australia on my own and had an absolute blast. Even though I was on my own, I was rarely alone. As soon as people heard my Canadian accent, that was it - they were right there, chatting with me like we were life-long buddies. They'd drag me off to the watering holes that the locals go to, rather than the touristy spots that I knew of. Plus, my schedule was flexible; if I wanted to see the Sydney Aquarium this morning and hit the Bridge tomorrow, I could! (And yes, I did both, even the climb to the top of the bridge - THAT was cool!).
So my vote goes to solo.

I'll go for group because you can share a lot of things while on trip. Of course you can talk to your folks or even enjoy group activities with them like scuba diving, para sailing and a lot more. Now, if you want to have a trip out of Europe but cheaper vacation. Choose Thailand because you can have a memorable vacation experience in Asia. (kohtaoheights.co.uk)

Dear sweet tooth,
First of all, I've never travelled alone, or in a group, everywhere I've been to has been with family.
I don't like going with family, as the places we chose to go have to be agreed by all 8 of us.. But I think travelling alone is kind of lonely.
If I was in your position, I would travel solo, since I'm one of those people who prefer to be by themselves rather than with strangers, I have trouble making new friends and I'm always shy.
Best thing is to try to find someone you know to travel with you, a good friend or a boyfriend or a family member. Anyone that you get along with. The less friends you bring along the better. Its the same with groups the less people in the group the better.
Sincerely, IMAQT xx

Solo. A group just holds you back as you all have different interests and you all want to go see different places.

Both are nice, I guess. It depends on your personality. I can indulge myself but I know friends that must move in groups. So, know yourself :)
I'm traveling alone to Europe this year & I'm happy about it :)

I would say solo. I love traveling myself, and find it easier to do so without the hassle of having people tag along. Yes, it can be enjoyable with a few good friends, but you mentioned all of them have plans. Don't be afraid to get out there by yourself. You might discover really interesting places and people whether you're shy or not.

Don't travel alone or in a group, try traveling with one other very good friend. I plan to go traveling with my sister when I'm older.

In a group. Traveling is more fun when there are others to join in the experience
