A word of warning--I tried maybeline "oil-free" foundation, and it made my skin break out like crazy! I had pimples on my forehead like I have NEVER had before. I stopped using it, switched to the revlon colorstay mineral line, and after a little while I was happily acne-free again.
Wash your face often, and NEVER sleep with makeup on!
Natural mineral make-up such as Bare Minerals is the best for oily skin. However, don't use the "mineral veil" because it has corn starch in it, which is bad for oily skin. I use bare minerals and I almost never break out. I used the L'oreal before, but using it after I've used Bare Minerals was a huge difference and my skin was much more oily and I had more breakouts. Mineral make-up is worth the money definitely. Just make sure you use enough of it. And if you have redness, you will need to also use concealer.
You might also want to go to the MAC counter at a department store and ask them for their advice and have them put it on you so you can actually see how it reacts with your skin instead of reading a biased label.
i tend to have fairly oily skin and what works for me is that bare minerals powder, with the brush attached at the top. I don't know why but when I have that on my skins not so oily even if you've had it on for a while.
I use the exact same stuff! L'oreal right? It works sooo great on my skin and it has actually IMPROVED it too because I break out super easy, especially around that time of the month. - More than a year ago
