Well, for sometime now this punk guy has been into me. And I do not see why he would be interested in me...because I am prep.
I just don't get it, why would a punk person go out with a prep? Please tell me. Because he has asked me out about 2 times now in the past two weeks, and its kind of bugging me that he's so fond of me because he is definitely not my type.
Wouldnt you think ap unk person would goout with someone more their type: skater, punk, goth, etc...
I don't know
But please tell me, why is a punk person into a prep like me?
Update: ...so I've talked to him recently....and I explained to him how I felt... I just told him I didn't think he was my type. He was ok with that. But, now we are friends. Which is cool with me.
Well have you ever heard of 'opposites attract'. Look beyond the little 'school ranks', this guy just wants to get to know you. I'm not saying you have to date him, just at least attempt to talk to him, guys who experience rejection really hurts their self esteem so if you don't want anything to do with him just say "I'm really not ready for a boyfriend right now" or "I hardly know you", or because he has interest in you, you could at least get to know him and a friendship might come out of this. Just make sure he wants you for the right reasons.
You can't help who you fall in love with! :) I guess you can say its the same concept as that. I mean..he probably likes you for your personality and what not. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with your rep as a 'prep'. It's kinda cliche-ish to say that two people from different groups can't get along or for that matter date. But if you still can't accept the fact that this 'punk' is into you then maybe your just very naive. :P By the way, how do you know whether or not he's not your type?? Do you know him well enough to say that? Because you can't just judge someone based on their clothing/music choices. =P
Ok well the same thing happened to me. I am complete like not prep but I guess you can say part of the "popular" group in school and punk people are just basically at the bottom above the nerds. So a lot of times random guys will prob like the prep people just because he likes your personality and looks beyond the differences. Maybe if you talk to him he thought you were flirting and decided to take a move. Who knows? or maybe it is just a phase in his life where he thinks he likes you even though you guys are so different and you don't like him back.
