What is your favourite Anime and why? If you're aren't into Anime that much, what was your favourite cartoon growing up as a child?
Mine: Naruto Shippuden, Claymore and Transformers. I lived off a lot of cartoons when I grew up and like to draw in general when I'm bored.

Please don't answer obviously if you don't like cartoons and don't tell me that 'cartoons are for babies' lol or I will make you look very stupid for answering ^_^
DBZ, I grew up watching that but now with that abomination of a movie coming out, I'm not that impressed.
A recent anime that I enjoyed is Gantz, and right now I'm still trying to finish watching Karas. It may only be 6 episodes long but I can't find the free time to finish it.
Some other good ones I've seen are Berserk, Claymore, GTO, and on the softer side Karin (I actually cried around the end). On my to do list I want to watch blood+, but probably gonna take me forever because its around 50 episodes. Might also want to watch rosario + vampire season 2 and the whole vampire knight series as well as the hellsing series (after seeing karin I got more interested in vampire animes :\). But I'm sure twilight made a lot of people want to see some vampire animes as well.
Yeah, I love Claymore, kinda gruesome though. I haven't watched Berserk or GTO, I think those ones are more for guys. one of my ex's really liked Ranma 1/2, I didn't really like it though.
Neat! I like DBZ too. The later series really sucked when Goku transformed into some red head dude, not at all exciting. Yeah. Are you talking about the 'Cooler' movie, I've watched it, it's like a repeat of his fight with Freeza, yes, I really liked DBZ lol. ^_^ My brothers love watching it too. - 11 months ago

I meant the live action Dragon ball movie, it looks like the bastard child of dragon ball and hollywood.
If you liked claymore, you should watch berserk and blood+(especially blood+ because it's almost like claymore but with vampires and in modern times) because their pretty similar. Also been keeping up with the claymore manga (at onemanga.com), it's pretty bland right now and nothing interesting is going on in the recent chapters. Manga's storyline is much different than the anime though. - 11 months ago

Yeah. lol. I watched KUNG FU HUSTLE. When the guy punches the frog guy into like 10 walls, it was so halarious, I was laughing so hard. Yeah, I was watching it with my brothers and they were laughing as well.

I addicted to bleach tv show. it's amazing animated action series. The entire rescue storyline of Bleach episodes wraps up just perfect, Which Instinct with the action of adventuristic characters. I have all collection of this show which I had assembled after download Bleach form link web site.
My all time favs have to be Cowboy bebop, Hellsing, Trigun, and Ruroni Kenshin and my new stuff I'm chekin out rite now is Darker than black, La chevlier d'eon, and gunslinger girl

School Days, that's my absolute favorite of all time, close second is Air. And why, because I absolutely love tragedies and the characters and storyline pulled me in, they were a bit slow to start, but once I started watching them I couldn't stop, I still rewatch episodes of them both from time to time.

Yeah go Naruto! have you seen shippuden version yet of Naruto? It's SO SO ADDICTIVE and it's way better than Bleach! I mean bleach is pretty good. Full metal, the graphics are hot. It's just a lotus. I just like flowers in general, lotuses, hibiscus, snap dragons, monkey flowers, rhododendrums, roses, cherry blossums etc.
Thankx. I think watching anime is something better than watching reality tv as well. For example, the timing of shows on tv and the material, it's just not entertaining to me anymore. I don't like stupid reality shows about peoples lives. lol *_*

Another question to whoever happens to look back here, how many of you are asian?
All the asian guys that I've met seem to all enjoy watching anime, when I say all I mean all the ones that I met in the last year. No matter where they were from, korean, chinese, singaporean, they all watched anime.
omg there are to many that I like lol. I have seen them all : ) dbz was the shit when I was little. the main one I'm waiting on are new episodes of bleach, just saw 199. some other good ones, elfin lied, death note, flcl, Tenjho Tenge, and so many more : P my favorite none anime cartons are ferngully and little nemo in slumber land. both were amazing and make me want to be a kid again so I can live in a fantasy world.

Ya they were not as cool. the kid was to much like L. My favorite anime is definitely Naruto (all of it). It has a great story line, great animation, action, developed characters, and if you know how to watch you can see a lot more than that. It just teaches you to be strong, brave, never give up, believe in yourself... I did grow up with it. =D But as the time passed, some things I was interested in when I was younger became silly, but anime always stayed awesome for me. =P
PS. I do have one thing I kinda don't like about it. It's the male-female relationship and comparison. Girls just seem to be created as the weaker characters. It's silly but it kinda makes me angry. xD
Oh! I loved Inuyasha, Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon, Full Metal Alchemist, and Sailor Moon! Sailor moon was my favorite. I have all the seasons on dvd...except for Sailor Stars...=[ Ha! I still catch myself watching these shows every once in a while. <3
I grew up watching Sailor Moon and DBZ. I was such a dork when it came to both of them. For now, I'm interested in the series Fruits Basket, and Gensomaden Saiyuki. My favorite movie is a tie between Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle.
Elfen Lied, It depicts a story of true hatred, love, betrayal, angst and sex., All at the same time. It's not for small ones though because of the intense blood, gore, and nudity. But it's one of those animes you can't help but stumbling upon. :3
I have so many on my list on my favorite anime. The one that is my favorite at the moment is School Rumble. I like it because of Harima's pig. Jk, Although he is cute. I like it because its random at random moments.

i used to love sailor moon though I like blood+ and vampire knight at the mo (guess I av a thing for vampires.) we just watched fruit baskets and chobbits at anime soc but I think I prefered the manga.
^_* My ex had a crush on all the sailor scouts when he was a kid, I wanted to be sailor moon so bad lol! But I think it's so corny when I looked back, I have some of the dolls and the cards. Really? I think manga's not bad, but I liked to watch the animations just because they throw in some extra detail as well. I try not to watch it all day obviously, but I love drawing them and it takes my mind off the stress lol. - 11 months ago
How can you pick just one? I guess if I had to pick one anime, it would be Outlaw Star. Although, Trigun and Gundam Wing are up there on my list (I like gundam shows). I really liked Witch Hunter Robin too.
