I don't know whether I should tell my guy that I got mono. I've been sick since thursday, with fever, headache and fatigue. Only today I've noticed that my lymph nodes are swollen, I'm assuming I have mono. But should I tell him?
Guys, has a girl ever told you that they got mono? How did you react?

Update: Thanks everyone! It turns out its not mono (my blood test came back negative for mono)... thankfully! I guess it was just a weird infection... Thanks for all of your comments and advice! I really appreciate them!

The polite thing to do would be to mention it to him that you might have mono. This would let him make his own choice about whether or not he wants to wait until you go to a doctor before he kisses you again. There's really not much for you to lose (a day or two of kissing before you see the doctor), but if you don't tell him, you could give him mono as well, which is a huge pain for him that could have been avoided.
Am I missing something here? Why would we be ashamed to tell our significant other that we have mono? The memo linking it to HIV must have slipped past my desk...
Find out if it is for sure from the doctor before you say anything. No need to freak him out for nothing. And if you do tell him so he can get treated as well. Mono left untreated can be very dangerous. I've had it twice so I know how serious it can be. But if you catch it early enough it isn't that big of a deal
You should go to the doctor ASAP and find out what you have. If it is mono the right thing to do would be to tell him. If you don't tell him and he kisses you then your risking getting him sick and why would you want to do that? Its really not that big of a deal, my boyfriend could careless when I had it. We just had to wait before it was completely gone before we kissed...
I wouldn't you don't know for sure that's what you have, I would say you have a cold or the flu. And yea when you are sick sometime's you lymphe do get swollen. Before you say anything I would get checked out by a doctor frist
