I've been with my boyfriend for 6 months. He introduced me to his mom on our fourth date, a barbecue at his brother's house. As we got closer, I noticed that he talks to her on a daily basis, he'll go to her for advice before he comes to me and he still brings his laundry home and she washes his clothes for him! She is very sweet and means well but he's 27 years old and it's time for her to cut the cord. How should I talk to him about his mom without hurting his feelings or pissing him off?

Be like this: baby I know you love your mother dearly but its time to grow up a bit. I'm not saying that you have to let her go and be a man. but how about every once in a while you could do your own laundry. and just maybe sometimes I'll even help if I'm not busy. just ask him why come you won't ask me for advice on certain things. Ive probably went through it or I know somebody that has. don't say it like your trying to talk down to him but as friends. use it but don't over do it. boys don't like to be told what to do especially when it comes to work and the moms'.
