Innocence and purity is viewed as childish. And yet when I am innocent and pure people try to change that. (why?) I've been asked out by some very shifty characters. Nothing wrong with them but their favorite topics are sex and rap. (always cursing *sigh*) And people always try and tell me about sex. Is it just fun to try and change someone that is pure and wholesome. I'm not into songs about whores dancing in a club or talking about sex and having curse words in every sentence. I like to debate and enjoy talking in depth to people about other countries and our government and religion.
And yet I attract guys that aren't like me at all. Not that their horrible or anything but they are either the ones that talk about everything I don't like to discuss or the ones that are into being popular and cool.
I've given up on the whole high school dating. I'm all for friends not for more and yet people can't seem to see that. They know I'm different and yet they still pursue me. . ?? Why is that?
You know that the person you want to marry would want a pure innocent girl. So do these guys. They aren't thinking of it so much as corrupting you than as building a special relationship with you that no one else has. Besides, you have something in your personality that they don't--that's the opposite of them. That can be really attractive to guys.
Oh, how much I know how you feel! Believe me, it gets better after high school, when guys are slowly becoming more mature. You sound mature and are ready to converse about topics that are more about something. My guess is that they may feel better about doing something they may think is wrong if you (the "good girl") did it too. However, DON"T! stick with what you believe and people will respect you (esp. guys) and you will feel good with yourself.

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
On my ideal first date, he would come and pick me up and take me anywhere but his house and the movies! I want to be somewhere we can get to know more about each other like dinner or another ice breaker activity we can do together. I'll wear what ever the date calls for, and it ends with NO KISSING, and a polite goodnight! :)
