I heard a Guy call into a radio station this morning with a question that I know I would have a hell of a time deciding what I would do so I wanted to hear what everyone where would do.
Here the situation:
The Guy was supposed to be the Best man in a wedding for his best friend. the unfortunate thing is that his Soon to be wifes mother died and that Funeral services were set to be in the day and time as the wedding that he was to be in and he was having a tough time deciding which place to go.
Which place would you go if you were in this situation?
Update: I am also wondering why you would do what you choose to do?

Well if this happened to be me I would take my boyfriend over my best friend cause he needs me more then she would. I can be replaced in the wedding but I can not be replaced by not standing by his side. Plus My Boyfriend should come first any way.
I would definitely go to the funeral. Because your wife should be more important that your friend and besides, another good friend could replace you in the wedding but I don't think there is any one who the wife can replace the husband with.
I'd most definitely go to the funeral to support my spouse, they come first. I could try to make time for the wedding after, if it was alright with my husband.
I would go to the funeral and then go to the reception of the wedding. My husband/ his wife needs him to be there, her mother died for god sakes! It would be tough if your best friend is getting married, but they would understand that his/her need is not as important as the spouse's. Just because you don't attend the ceremony doesn't mean you still can't be the best man, too. Being best man has lots of responsibility apart from walking up the aisle.
I would go to my husbands mothers funeral. I know that I should be the maid of honor in the wedding but my husbands mother is my mother-in-law and she would be like a mother to me. Plus, it's not necessary to have a maid-of-honor.
