Ladies, If your boyfriend was to cook a home made meal for you, what would you like to be cooked/served for the meal. And, is this a case where a guy should go all out, or keep it simple?
If she's more of a city/high-maintenance type lady, then something complicated with several courses, wine, and dessert.
If she's more like me, someone who's more casual and laid back, she'd probably like burgers and beer, something simple like that.
Whatever you do, if you want to impress her, stay away from stuff like spaghetti and lasagna, those can get really old really fast. (Unless you have an amazing sauce recipe with a secret ingredient! ) Everyone can make them, so they aren't special. But a lot more effort goes into grilling or picking out a dish that she'll like.
I think something like lasagna and a salad would be good. It's simple to make, but takes awhile to put the lasagna together. Also I enjoy when my husband makes things I'm not very good at. Like grilled steaks or fish. Well, anything on the grill really! I think I'd be most impressed if he made a simple-ish dinner and attempted a dessert- like chocolate covered strawberries or a red velvet cake. I'd be even more impressed if he put effort into presentation!
Now if I can find a way to grill lasagna, and make it look good, does that get me extra points? Just a joke there, but presentation, I got to remember that, thanks! - 7 months ago

Haha :) You can use frozen lasagna, bagged salad and a cake from the store as long as you make it look pretty. Maybe if you attempt a dessert you could swirl caramel or chocolate sauce on the place and add a garnish of mint. That'd be impressive! - 7 months ago
Can I have an invite to dinner too, lol, I'm a microwave wonder. And I'm hungry, and this sounds really good, then you make her breakfast in bed next time. And lasagna is unexpected for me, everyone is always making chicken and beef, I like it - 7 months ago
