I've got a question about high school graduation. It probably differes from school to school, but I was wondering about when you walk. Do they call your name? I've been to several graduations but I was very young at the time and I either wasn't paying attention or I don't remember. Before they call your name do they ask how to pronounce it?
They called names when I graduated, but, of course, Abe Lincoln was president then. I still remember the look of shock and disbelief on everyones face when my name was called.
Yeah, they usually call your name alphabetically, or in some structures order. If there are stairs involved, before the stage, usually one person always trips, lol. When I graduated, it happened to be one of the tallest kids in the school, but it was funny, he tried to act like he meant to do it.

Ooooo, I don't think they check to ask you specifically how to pronounce it, but usually the principal or someone like that calls your name, check with them, I bet they'd know. - 10 months ago
They usually seat you in the order that you will walk in, and also call your name when it is time for you to get your diploma. They work it all out at rehearsal, at least my school did a rehearsal for us.
I'm going to guess that you go to a big school. So my answer probably wouldn't do you any good. I'm graduating with 80 other people. Probably the only way to find out before your graduation is if you guys have graduation practice. At my school I think it's the principal that calls out your name, so he already knows how to pronounce our names.
yes. for my hs grad, they called my name and I walked over and got the diploma and then they read my speech thing and then I walked over...it was so boring because we had a huge grad class...so many names.
