My boyfriend's birthday is coming up next week and I have no clue what to get him and of course he is no help. He loves his motorcycle and he is a Music Education/MIS major. Any advice?
Update: I've been with him for 7 months and I am home for the summer, 4 and a half hours away from him. I have a small budget and my mother would kill both me and him if I ever got on his motorcycle. Thanks for all of your advice, what about knives?

heres what you should get him depending on your budget: if you can afford to spend more than $200, a new riding jacket or helmet for his bike. there are some you can find for less than that but mostly (unless you happen upon a closeout sale) theyre not worth buying if he's already got a working one because theyll probably be a downgrade from what he currently has, not an upgrade. www.newenough.com has in their closeout section a nice joe rocket leather jacket that normally runs $400 for $160 on sale.
if your budget is running between $100-$200, perhaps a new pair of riding shoes/boots. Icon makes a pair of sneakers that are reinforced in all the areas riding boots need to be reinforced called the Tarmac shoes. They're as comfy and practical as tennis shoes and as safe as riding shoes/boots. They cost roughly $125.
$50-$100 you can get a really really nice pair of riding gloves. Speed & Strength makes some of the best gloves in the business in that price range.

If you wanted to get a CD but have no idea what might have lasting value, I would recommend a compilation album from Tom Petty (Greatest Hits), Dire Straits (Private Investigations), or maybe just ask your guy what bands he likes!
how long have you been dating him? If it hasn't been very long, a nice dinner or gift cards work--iTunes? Or perhaps since the weather's nice you two could go for a ride on his bike and have a nice picnic somewhere. I'm sure he'll be happy to spend the time with you.
