So I met this guy who just seems absolutely perfect ! We get along great and share several common interests . There is one downfall . He is leaving this summer because he got a teaching job out of state . So the dilemma is I have not known him very long (it will be probably six months when he moves) and I know that that is way too soon to move for somebody besides I need to graduate college first . But should I tell him that I am willing to be in a long distance relationship and if so then how ? Or should I just remain friends and then see where the future brings us . The fight that I am having is that he is the one that leaves me breathless and I absolutely want to be with him .
I hope this makes sense . Any advice will help . Can long distance relationships make it ?

You have three months worth of dating to see if you really have a connection . Why not take a chance ? You can always end things if they go badly, or if they go really well then you can make the next set of decisions later on . Long distance has a better chance of succeeded if you have a lot of history with someone . A connection alone won't do it in my opinion .

Even if you don't get married to each other, you'll still have three months of good memories .

I know exactly what you're going through. My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 months and I love him with all my heart. Like you, he makes me breathless and I would do anything to be with him. The only prob is he lives in IL and I live in AR, but I can't see myself with anyone else. We're determined to make this work. I believe wholeheartedly that long distance relationships can work, it just depends on the commitment of the couple involved. Some say, "distance makes the heart grow fonder. " I agree with that. I hate that we can't be together as much as we would like to, but I just keep in contact with him and always tell him how much I love him and wish he were here with me or how much I wish I was there with him.

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
I would wear nice clothes nothing like work clothes. I would pick her up at her house at the time we agreed on. We would then go to a nice restaurant to have a nice dinner. Then we would go walking through the park or go to a nice place to sit and talk to get to know each other better. Then after the date was over I would take her home and not get a kiss unless we both agreed on it.

Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
Whatever it is that she wanted to know. I'm not a shy person. If there's something she wanted to know but wouldn't ask and I picked up on it then I would just tell her everything about me that there is to know.

Would you date me?
