Ok, so- I've had a really rocky relationship with one of my guys friends- we've known each other for four years- and this is how our friendship time line looked: -he tells me he likes me, I reject him -i realize I like him, when I'm about to tell him he gives my best friend a rose for valentines day -he proceeds to date/pursue all of my friends -i leave the school and we maintain contact through email for the next three years -we have on/off attraction for one another OK, so here's where the problem begins: he introduces me to one of his friends, let's call him Skip cos that's a silly name Skip and I hit it off right away (it's good to note Skip and I never meet each other, even to this day not face to face, but I'm friends with him on facebook and he's really cute) We started texting each other(he initiated it), he even suggests he would love to someday sleep over at my house and make me breakfast . all this time my old guy friend, lets call him dumb ass, or DA for short, is acting really sketchy and jealous . He gives me permission to hook up with skip tho, but grudgingly; he's acting really jealous and weird . skip texts me and is all excited he's like we HAVE to hang out ! So we set up a date and everything (he even asks if I think we'll hook up and I say idk) Skip tells me he thinks I'm really cute (hes seen my facebook) date time comes along, no text from skip . No phone call, NOTHING . its been like that to this day . I don't text him, nothing, its like it never happened . i have two theories: a) he saw an unflattering photo of me on facebook (ok it was a test day and I got no sleep ! Sue me ! ) which I promptly deleted btw b) DA got jealous and found something to say that would get him to back off . I still talk to DA but we never talk about what happened; also its good to point out before the whole thing DA and skip were best friends and always talked on facebook and after skip stopped texting me they stopped talking too . what the hell ? that and another question: whats the difference between a guy telling you he thinks your hot and he thinks your cute ? thanks boys ! Judging from what I can see Skip got scared whether it was from DA or not shouldn't matter, the fact of the matter is he wasn't able to step up enough in order to pull you in the rest of the way. Seeing a picture of you on facebook is no reason for anyone to just cast you aside. More than likely DA got a hold of him told him the story and it caused him to step aside. The biggest thing that I see wrong with this is that YOU sat aside and let him leave, if you really like someone like that then you should have initiated contact to see what had happened.
HOT VS> CUTE. Depending completely on the guy these words can work one of two ways. Calling you hot can mean that he wants to simply get into your pants and leave it at that. Calling you cute would mean, to this same guy, that you are something a little more serious and I kinda like how you look, but its more about how you make me feel. Now for other less shallow men, Hot, cute, beautiful , and all those other adjectives like the other person said are interchangeable and easily used for complimentary purposes.
Hot is away for someone that he is interested in you but doesn't want commitment but cute to me is he likes you to but he wants a relationship, so maybe he wants to date you but he doesn't know if you want the same thing, maybe one should just come out and say it lets try it and see where things go, and if not, then you will always wonder what could have happened if I did say something or he did, so take a chance and see what happens !
I think the whole cute, hot, beautiful, gorgeous, (other complimentary adjective) is really over thought by girls . Personally I use them interchangeably . - 3 months ago

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
I would wear nice clothes nothing like work clothes. I would pick her up at her house at the time we agreed on. We would then go to a nice restaurant to have a nice dinner. Then we would go walking through the park or go to a nice place to sit and talk to get to know each other better. Then after the date was over I would take her home and not get a kiss unless we both agreed on it.
Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
Whatever it is that she wanted to know. I'm not a shy person. If there's something she wanted to know but wouldn't ask and I picked up on it then I would just tell her everything about me that there is to know.
