So, here's the scoop. I met this girl through mutual friends. We went on a date and things seemed like they went really well. Conversation was good and we ended up making out later in the night. Upon leaving, she expressed that she was looking forward to seeing me again and told me to call her. We talked a couple of times the following week but both of us were busy so we were unable to hang out. The next week, I called her a couple of times and left messages. Several days later and no response. Any ideas? Is she playing games? Should I call her to show my interest or give her space? How long should I wait to call again?
I'm in the SAME situation. Except I'm the 'guy', and he's the girl who hasn't called back. Hmm, but guys are different than girls. I'm not sure why she wouldn't have called you back. Maybe she's aware that she's already 'got you'. Make it a little harder, go two weeks with no contact. If she calls you, great! If not, then she's missing out. If she really liked you, she'd definitely drop you a line/text message :)
There are a number of possibilities as to her ignoring you.
Possibility A: you have done this before and she finally got the scoop from your mutual friends that you are a player and she could do better
Possibility B: you or her are in a relationship. Maybe she was on the rocks with her man and that night let inhibitions go. Now though she and the man made up and she no longer wants to talk to you because of it.
Possibility C: She is still really busy and plans on getting in contact with you once she's ready.
Either way I would give her space and wait two weeks before I tried to contact her again. In the mean time you can get a hold of your mutual friends and find out what's really going on because they might just know what the real story is. Good Luck!
A. I'm definitely not a player and shouldnt have any reputation of being one.
B. I've been single for a while so none of my past relationships are an issue. As for her, she claimed that she hadn't been on a date for a while. She did ask me about my past relationships and she showed signs of being hurt in the past.
See. She was on spring break this past week so I have a hard time believing that she couldn't find the time to return a call. - 3 months ago

Did she go any place for spring break? Because if she did then that's the obvious reason. Most people don't want to pay roaming charges. Also going on a date and having a boyfriend are two different things... Check with your friends they might know whats up and continue to give her space ... I know it's hard but having someone calling and calling is a huge turn off right when you meet them. - 3 months ago

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
I don't use "pickup lines" on girls I am attracted to. If I am attracted to her, I try to approach her in a way that is engaging, such as commenting on something related to the current situation. At other times, a simple hi and a smile are my weapon of choice.
How do they typically respond?
Girls mostly respond in a positive way, but there are always the shy or uninterested girls that don't allow me to get past a simple hi.
