My ex of 3 1/2 years comes up to me and talks to me at the end of church services (by the way - he has a new girlfriend & she is at church with him when this happens) but if I make an effort (via text/e-mail) to talk to him (just friendly conversation) - he won't respond. We have been apart about 4 months & he almost immediately starting seeing this girl. Why is this just a one way street of friendliness?
Maybe his girlfriend wants to ensure that the two of you are still talking. If you all keep the lines of conversation open, no one will be in the dark about each other's feelings, and there will be less desire or incentive to cheat.
Or, he might just want an excuse to show off his new girlfriend--proof that he has moved on.
I wish I knew I'm in the same boat. I think he still cares for you can so he wants to talk to you on his time only. If you text him it makes him feel good and thinks that you still care for him and well since that's all he cares about he won't talk back. that's just what I think I don't know for sure. My ex broke up with me and then dated someone else within a month and called me emailed me for 3 months. anyway I know how you can be confused about this but the best way is to not talk to him its to soon tell some time go by. try to find yourself during this time try to find what makes you happy and only you. I know this may seem selfish but now its time to only think about you.

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
Well my ideal date would be the guy would come pick me up and be really sweet about meeting my parents and going over "The rules".We would go somewhere nice like to the movies and dinner would be a nice,simple first date.We'd see something probally funny or scary,but not really scary cause I don't really like those.He'd take me home later and he'd walk me to the door and whatever happens...happens

Well that I'm in HS of course and hopefully more than he did before. He'll know I love music, for sure and the subjects in school I like or the ones I just cannot stand (like math, ew!) lol! Hopefully by the end of the date, he'll really come to understand me for me and we'll set a date to go out again, but like I said before whatever happens...happens.
