So, I have been trying to get a friendship/ relationship going with this guy I like who works at the gym I go to. I can have some conversations with him and say hi/bye with him. Although I am usually the one who starts the conversations or goes out of my way to talk to him. Very rarely will he. So I though it would be a good time see if I could do something with him. When I was leaving, I went to find him to say bye and I dropped a few hints towards him that I was looking for something to do tonight, that since moving here I haven't been able to meet many people. I told him his weekend plans sounded fun. I asked if he had any suggestions with the hopes of him asking me to go along with him this weekend. . And he didn't. He didn't even *pick* at the bait at all. I mean, really, how many other green lights can I give this guy? I felt really stupid and childish after I asked him. I haven't had a relationship with a guy in a long time and I am in the dark. I did not want to ask him out because I don't want to seem like the crazy typical stalkerish girl and not to mention I go to the gym quite frequently and see him there. Am I the one who needs to take the big hint and let it be or are guys just dense?
Lol well its normal for a girl to ask a guy because most of us guys can't take a hint most of the time so ask him out or try to make your conversations longer work out next to him and start a conversation ask him on advice on how to do a certain exercises lol then decide what to do
My guess is either he's in a relationship, or he just doesn't find you attractive. Most single guys would be outgoing with women they were even slightly attracted to, even just to be friends. Do you know if he's in a relationship? Maybe he is, and is very happy. It may be possible that he's just shy, but that would mean that he likes you. And since you already try to conversate with him, he'd break out of his shyness by now. Try conversating with other guys at the gym, and see how he responds. Who knows, maybe you'll meet someone better!
Thank you for your answer. I am not sure if he is in a relationship. To be perfectly honest, he very well might be. I have seen him with a girl (whether it was the same girl or not I am not sure) a couple of times a few months back. Nothing recently. The day after St. Patties day he asked me if I did anything the previous night and I told him that I hadn't. I asked him what he did, and he told me him and his buddy didn't really do anything special. I assumed he would have mentioned his girlfriend then. - 3 months ago

Generally she tells me how she is doing. From there I start normal conversations. Pick up lines generally speaking are stupid and fail a good amount of the time, being yourself and being confident and comfortable are far more important.
