Can people change or does our underlying personality determine all that we do, and we are pretty much stuck with ourselves? I was reading online last night and came across the 16 personality traits that psychologists have identified in people. They also talked about "the big 5" which are the 16 but grouped so we are dealing with 5 rather than 16.
The Big Five factors and their traits can be summarized as follows:
Openness - appreciation for art, emotion, adventure, unusual ideas, imagination, curiosity, and variety of experience.
Conscientiousness - a tendency to show self-discipline, act dutifully, and aim for achievement; planned rather than spontaneous behavior.
Extraversion - energy, positive emotions, surgency, and the tendency to seek stimulation and the company of others.
Agreeableness - a tendency to be compassionate and cooperative rather than suspicious and antagonistic towards others.
Neuroticism - a tendency to experience unpleasant emotions easily, such as anger, anxiety, depression, or vulnerability; sometimes called emotional instability.
When scored for individual feedback, these traits are frequently presented as percentile scores. For example, a Conscientiousness rating in the 80th percentile indicates a relatively strong sense of responsibility and orderliness, whereas an Extraversion rating in the fifth percentile indicates an exceptional need for solitude and quiet.
So, if I fall into one of these, is this something I will be able to change, or am I stuck with it?
The underlying personality can make one assume what the person might do in a situation; also the reason why we can't collaborate the score on a percentage scale, cause an assumption can go both ways.
Its something like you get a crystal ball and you know whats gonna happen in future; you now have a choice to make it change.
And when you talk about underlying personality, all you think bout is how differently your conscience behaves so if you really get a way to know your inner self you can summarize your actions better....so definitely being predictable or unpredictable lies in your hands...and not in the hands of experts who just generalize the talk based on fiction cum facts...
It can be hard, but yes, it's possible to change your personality. In middle and high school, I was extremely shy and didn't like being around other people. In my senior year of high school, I decided that I was never going to make any friends that way, and I started being really outgoing and taking every possible opportunity to hang out with the other people at my school. Now, most of my friends say I'm one of the most extroverted people they know. It's not easy to go against your nature at first, but once you get into the swing of it you can definitely change!
Theres this guy I like. He's a good bit older than I am. To him I was mature then he got to know my immature side. I like to play around wayy to much...

What is your favorite outfit for a night out with friends?
My favorite outfit is this white spaghetti strap dress that has sparkles n black wavy lines thru it. I then wear my black low heeled shoes. If I'm just headed to the bar I'll wear my faded holy jeans with my V-neck pink, black, n blue painted lines top. Its artistic...I always get compliments.
How do you style your hair and do your make-up?
I always wear makeup. I first put on this new blemish concealer by Eucrin its awesome it covers any pimple any line. I then just use powder, eyeliner, white or sparkly creamy green eye shadow n of course lash lengthening Mascara. My get up only takes me 20 min after the shower I have it down to a fine science. I mostly straighten my hair but will curl it.
