Why do nice guys always finish last?

Yeah, you're putting yourself in the friend zone. being nice is the best, but you've got to be forward. and joke around, but kind of in a mean, sexual way -- e.g., "you've definately got some cushion for the pushin' ". it's hilarious, but remember to let her know that she's not fat.

I like guys to be nice, but not all the time. When they're a bit mean, they leave me wanting more. Girls remember the nice things guys do so when the guy is acting like a jerk, the girl is sitting there, craving a bit of his kindness.

Plus, nice guys are generally nice to EVERYONE. When a jerk is nice to his girlie, it makes her feel extra-special because she is the ONLY ONE he acts like that around.

Look for a nice girl; nice girls seem to finish last too. Maybe the problem is where you've set your target. Are you going after the girls who are always with the jock's ( or jerk's) Maybe you need a girl who will appreciate you, not someone who wants to be with Mr. studly jerk. You don't want to play that part, do you? Even if it is to get a girl. Girls think nice guy's aren't exciting, so they are less attracted to them because they want that kind of excitement in their life. You can be exciting and not a jerk, it just usually takes a while longer to find someone who can see that point.

Nice guys don't finish last. Insecure guys finish last. Insecure people, rather. If I were you, I'd talk as much as you'd like and as loudly as you'd like. Who gives a crap? Put yourself first, command attention and be confident in your assets. Whether you're athletic, cute, smart, funny, charming or whatever. Be very proud of who you are and you'll catch the eye of a girl that deserves you. Never mistake not getting this girl or that girl as finishing last because the girls that aren't noticing you may not be worth your time anyway :)

Really you should talk to someone who wouldn't judge you for your hearing and I'm not gonna lie but it seems like girls are picky. No offense but the problem is just being picky

Well, I don't know but I would much rather have a nice guy than a stud any day. May be you should just try talking to people and see their reactions so you know whether youre talking too loud or not.

I'll explain something to you. It's not that you are NICE, it's that you don't stand up for yourself, tell girls NO, and your not confident. I've been there, for years man, and I gotta tell you that treating women like 'just a friend' works a lot better. Women think it's a scam and that you are hiding your true self when you act the nice guy. And the fact that you are shy hurts your chances too, cause men HAVE to be the ones to make the first move. Nice guys finish last because girls from the ages 13-18 like the guys who are different then most guys are whats expected of them, they don't want one that reminds them of their father. Once they realize that they are asses then they dump them but by then they already lost their virginity and are screwed for years to come.

Nice guys finish last because, let's be honest, every girl (no matter what she says) will take the hot hollywood/nba/nfl/mlb athlete even if he has no money, no hope and treats them like shit. It's just society. Girls don't know what they want so they go for what's acceptable in society.

I agree with purefury. I'm a nice guy and I treat my girlfriend like a queen. Lately I've felt like I'm the only one trying to make the other happy. But when I think about it, I've been trying WAY too hard. If a girl acted like this towards me I'd think she was crazy. So I say be nice every once in a while just to let them know you care, but give them more space than you think is necessary.

The thing about nice guys is that they are usually shy, and thus not many girls get a chance to see their personality. It's alright to be a nice guy, and girls usually like them, in the beginning at least, but you can't be afraid to put yourself out there and let people see what kind of person you are. Also I've learned first hand that there is such a thing as too nice, so when you get your girlfriend, don't do every single thing she asks or compliment her all the time, cause eventually they start to get sick of it. Even if it's completely against your personality type, you need to find a little bit of middle ground, or you won't keep her happy long.
