I have been talking to this guy for a while but lately things seem more distant than usual. He won't call me and never ims me. I'm the one who always has to pick up the phone, leave a cute message or whatever but now I've had just about enough. Our relationship is long distance so I think these things are important. Seeing that things were getting progressively worse I confronted him and asked him why he never ever called me. Lets face it, picking up the phone doesn't take more than a minute or two and I don't ask him to call me every day or even every week. He responded in telling me that he was tired and busy all the time blah, blah, blah (always making damn excuses). In spite all of this he says he still loves me which makes it hard to believe when I'm the only one giving and I'm ready to call it quits. So my question is should I call him and tell him that I'm giving him his space and I'm done or just move on and forget about it?

Any advice is gladly appreciated
-thanks

If you think that you truly love him, the best advice I can think of is to let him know that you are no longer going to put in the effort. So if he wants to talk, he needs to call you. Then you need to stand strong and not give in and call him. Make him understand it can't be a one sided relationship and the best way to do that is just prove it.

But, if you don't think you are really in love- then I'd say just break up with him and forget about it, because honestly, he sounds like a bit of a jackass. Who tells their girlfriend they are too tired and busy to call them? That's rude and inconsiderate. Everyone has 10 minutes to pick up the phone.
