I had been seeing this girl for over two years. In my senior year of high school, I decided I wanted to serve my country in the armed forces. She breaks up with me right away, even though she is supportive of the troops, she doesn't want to be with a soldier. Why is that?

I think that maybe she just didn't want to be scared for your life all the time and maybe it scared her to know that you would probably be flown to the other side of the world. SOLDIER is a pretty heartfelt word when it comes to the things that you would actually have to do like being away from family and friends for however long

She could be a girl who's not up for long distance relationship since you won't be able to see her from training or combating.

As a former GI who served in combat back in 1991, I can tell you that a soldier's life is not for every woman. If a woman has no intention of moving with you to your duty station with the long term goal of marriage, then it is best to move forward and let her go. Even though you may not serve in a combat MOS such as infantry(my MOS) or tanks, artillery, etc, the fact that you could become a casualty is tough for friends, family and lovers to live with. I survived and have lived on but many have not, paying the ultimate sacrifice for freedom and country. Do not let this bother you as you have your goals, she has hers.

I salute you young man and wish you the very best to your future wherever it may lead you. You may have lost a lover, but you gain lifelong comrades in your next journey.

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
Going to listen to music, or a movie, maybe check out a street festival and share a drink outdoors on a nice beautiful sunny day. I would wear hot sun dress that is shapely but not too revealing, enough to show the curves and contours, with some sexy sandals. The date would end with of course a kiss and a I had a really good time, lets do it again sometime.

Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
He would know I am fun to be around, am interested in learning who he is and how he feels about the world around him. He would know I like to smile, laugh and appreciate good conversation, music, food and talking about movie, the arts.He would see I enjoy being a woman and that I really appreciate and feel good around a man.

Would you date me?
