My ex-boyfriend and I broke-up about 4 months ago (we were together for more than 1yr), due to the fact that he felt as if he had too many things going on in his life right now (a combination of work and school), and he couldn't handle having a girlfriend at this moment. He wanted to remain friends, but I decided that we shouldn't talk anymore, so that I could be OK with him not in my life.

During these past 4 months after the break-up, he has been trying to contact me, by sending me txt messages and calling me. I have tried to be civil with him, and have responded, but I try to keep it short. He has been asking me to visit him, but I had been hesitant, since I thought it wouldn't be a good situation to put myself in.

This past weekend, he finally convinced me to stop by his apartment. His semester at school has finished, and he said he had more free time to hang-out. We spent the whole entire afternoon together, and it was as if we had never broken-up. There was no tension, we were able to have a conversation of what we have been doing for the past few months, we were both very affectionate towards each other (trying to get close to me, hugging me, etc. ) as we were in the past. It felt as if nothing had ever changed between us. The bad thing is, that one thing let to another, and we fooled around. We spent the entire afternoon together, and as I was leaving, he told me that he wanted to hang-out with me again, soon.

I had been doing a good job of moving on and dating, but I still love him. My question is, do you think his behavior could reflect his intentions to want to get back together? Or could he just be playing mind games?

Maybe he really does want to get back with you but you can't know until you start hanging out with him. You really just have to take the risk. But he has put you on hold once before so in taking the risk to try to get things back to the old ways you have to make sure that you are ready to be hurt again or be able to handle it this time if he puts you on hold again. Love waits just go for it.
