Ladies, I am a dancer, I love to dance. I don't mean crunk, hip-hop, or whatever it is that the mtv crowd does these days (don't get me wrong, I do enjoy watching that kind of dance, it just isn't for me as a dancer). I'm more into salsa, tango, swing, waltz, jazz, etc.
I've dated girls who were gorgeous physically, had wonderful personalities, outgoing, were great in the bedroom, but couldn't dance to save their lives. I've tried for hours and hours to teach them, they honestly just can't. I consider that a deal breaker and have let things slide apart because of that. Would you think that I am being shallow for this decision?
Update: By can't dance, I mean not at all, not hip-hop, waltz, or anything in-between.

I think it could keep you from getting to know a lot of girls, either because they can't dance, so you call it quits, or because the girl feels too pressured to be a good dancer, so she leaves. I am a swimmer. I would love to have a guy who enjoys going to the beach with me on red flag days to intentionally get pulled out in rip currents, then make the journey of swimming back. Buuut it's not a requirement that he even knows how to swim
Not at all its your passion.. you just want someone to have the same inetrests as you.. that's why a lot of pro dancers and performs are married to each other b/c they have they same passion and the goals and interests are the same so its something they can relate to
Well I don't think so because you love to dance its one of your passions and you want to share that part of you with a girl. But don't go to bed with a girl until you know they can dance because that is mean.
Your not shallow. Everyone has little peeves that turns them off about a guy or girl. I think the ability to dance is crucial. However, I AM a dancer so that might play a factor.
Not sure if you really want a guys input on this or not, but honestly I think it's a bit shallow. I mean I can see where you're coming from, I prefer ballroom dance over other styles as well (huge waltz fan), but it could be that they just don't get it. Modern dances are more rhythmically oriented with a lot more movement to off-beats and such. However, ballroom styles are very beat oriented. If you can find a way to convey the differences and similarities and teach them the inner-workings, not just the steps, they may pick up on it a lot easier.
I'm not talking about a girl not being able to learn one type of dance over another. I'm talking about a girl who has no rhythm at all and flat out can't dance, period. I apologize for being too general. - A month ago

What is your favorite outfit for a night out with friends?
Dark blue jeans (bootcut) with a pair of black stiletto's or high-heeled mary janes, black lacy top with a plunge v neck that shows a BIT of cleavage but not toooo much
How do you style your hair and do your make-up?
Have my hair down and loosely curly with a bit of volume. Make-up is natural skin with a bit of blusher to highlight cheek bones, plenty of eyeliner and mascara and natural lips.
