When you are on a date with someone and have only one chance to ask a question, (say speed dating) what single question would you ask to get to know her or him and why?
"What do you do for living?" In Denmark we're raised to believe that we become what we do... So I wouldn't ask him that question to learn about his income or position in society, but to know what he does in daily life, what he stands for and what he's passionate about. So I better hope he likes what he does...
And that brings me to the next question: "Do you like what you do?"
Was that a question "do you like what you do?" - 6 months ago

What I meant was, no it was not a direct question for you to answer. 1st question: "What do you do for living?" 2nd question: "Do you enjoy what you do?" - 6 months ago
I believe the question you should ask is: What do do you respect about a woman? (or vice-versa guy) If you ask that question it shows you have a desire to know people and it is almost certain that she may have never been asked that question before and therefore, that girl is going to find you intellectually attractive and she's going to want to know more about you. It shows you are challenging that person's values and that you're choosing who'd you like to spend time with right off the bat. Try it!!!! I bet you'll get eyes wide open - wow what a question type reponses.
I am looking for a specific question on how people would take this, not the psychoanalysis of why I should ask what. Thanks for the info though.. :) - 7 months ago

I've been told by my brother that I'm supposed to give the girl the the ride to and from the first date. Since I'm only 16 that's an impossibility...
