When I was 12 years old I had an eating disorder and it lasted for about 2 years. I'm not in a relationship right now (and I haven't been in one since then) but when I do have a boyfriend should I tell him about it?? I haven't told anyone except my parents when they took me to the doctor. none of my friends know either. and if I do tell him could that possibly ruin our relationship??

If its something that you are over then it shouldn't be a problem. I would tell him but it shouldn't be something that slips into your everyday conversation. Wait until there is a moment of sharing personal secrets then tell him.

I wouldn't get too worried about it until you do get in a relationship. Then tell your boyfriend about it at an appropriate time. Its all behind you now, so I would think that any boyfriend would not even worry about it. There's no reason for anyone to hold it against you. You had an illness, that's all!

Honesty is always the best policy, but this isn't something he needs to know up front. As long as your eating disorder is a thing of the past, it's not something that can affect your relationship. If it ever comes up, don't hesitate to share, but if it doesn't, it's not important.

It really depends....If the boy really did love you, he would except it.
I probably would tell him.

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
Usually I go on myspace and ask, or call and say something like "Would you ever consider going out with someone as odd and random as myself?"

How do they typically respond?
More or less... "I'm not really interested in a relationship."

Do I have the right approach?
