Why doesn't he want to be with me?

My best friend thought he was "gay" for a few years until recently. I'm so in love with him and I want him to be part of my life more than anything. He tells me he loves me all the time and we both bend over backwards to make each other happy. I asked him last year if he would date me. He said not right now I don't want a relationship. I respect that so I left it alone. But, since then he ended up sleeping with one of his friends. Why would he do that if he knows I love him and he supposedly loves me? How come he won't have sex with me? Is he playing mind games? If he is then I've been playing these games for a whole 8 years. I don't know if waiting around for him is just stupid to do. Is he worth it? Any advice would be great

You told him how you felt about him. Tell him that that hurt you. You don't need his kind of crap. If he loved you he would not have done that to you. Sorry. Hope you find your answer
