So my friend and I are really close. He is my closest guy friend and I tell him almost everything. We have always had a great friendship until about two months ago when I told him that I liked him. He told me he doesn't like me in that way but still wanted to be friends. It really hurt my feelings but because I loved him and didn't want to lose his friendship I remained a close friend. Now we have gotten to the point where we can talk about other people in our lives. The thing is lately he has been constantly trying to get my attention, texting me alot, calling, msn etc. He even told me a few days ago when he was drunk that he loved me. The thing is I ignored him. I had my heart broke by him once and don't want to be in that situation again. I still really like him but am trying my best to hide it, after all he said he didn't want me. Guys can his feelings have changed? Do I have a chance with him? Please help me decode his odd behavior, I really don't want to embarrass myself or lead myself on. thanks
It's really difficult to tell. Firstly he may have started to develop feelings for you, but since you have already told him you like him it should be easier for him to tell you instead of playing games and calling when drunk. Secondly, once a guy knows that a girl likes him he cansometimes hit on her because its like a sure thing, they don't always care much about your feelings. Lastly, he may just want some attention and he knows he can get it from you.
You seem like a sweet girl, don't read too much in to his behaviour and get yourself hurt again.
