Me & my ex recently broke off just a month ago. We've been dating for 2yrs. At one point I thought he was the one for me. I actually saw myself getting close to his family, and saw him to be the father of my kids. Even willing to move away with him, when the timing was right. I never felt that way about anyone. My feelings changed 2 months prior, because we had a discussion about the future. He said he didn't know if he did see me in his future. I felt kinda hurt. We both agreed to stay with each other. As soon we felt that it wasn't working for both of us, we would let the other person know & end it. We got into a fight last month which caused the relationship to end. It puzzled me, how everything we worked so hard for, can be dropped at in instant. So if you guys, can tell me how you knew your significant other was the right one for you.
Never did know and I doubt that I will ever know. It is one of life's great mysterious to me.
Feelings seem to come and go. One day, I feel like she is the one and then another day we argue and I start doubting myself. Eventually my thoughts turn back to my love for her and how special she is to me.
I should add however that when I first saw her - which coincidentally was a blind date - she seemed like an angel emerging and walking towards me. I still remember very vividly our very first date and it has been years. After the date, my gut told me that she could very well be the 'one'. Oddly, I've never went on any blind dates prior to that day and it was more or less to get a family member off my back but, boy, was I glad I went on it.
