My ex and I dated for about 2 years & it just ended recently. I was never introduced to anybody in his life except for his sister, when she came up to Toronto to attend our graduation. His family and friends all live in the states. He doesn't have any close friends except for acquaintances. I ended up talking to the sis over the phone once, because I was really beginning to doubt that I was being kept a secret. She said that the whole family knew about us dating, except for their dad. My ex told me that he ddnt tell his dad about us because of traditional mentality of dating outside the race. I was okay with that, because I never ended up telling my grandma.

I've never met any of his friends or anyone of his acquaintances. He told me that he didn't want to introduce me to them because they weren't significant enough. He said he'll introduce me to his friends when we do go to the states. His one friend lives in Calgary knew about us, and invited me to go visit with my boyfriend. I felt kinda hurt because my boyfriend didn't even invite me to go with him for vacation. We usually go on separate vacations too, but at least I ask if he wants to join. I don't even know if his nurse co-workers knew that we were dating, cause he never mentioned any of their names. After this break up, it made me wonder if I really meant anything to him, just because I realize that hiding your significant other is a red flag, which I should have picked up on & got out long time ago. What do you guys think?

You are broke up now, aren't ya! Then don't bother your self about it any more! Let it go girl and as you said it was a red flag that you had picked it up long time ago. May be things wasn't like that! May be he hided you cause of the traditional out race dating thing of his dad "DUH! ". Let it go, you may never find an answer :-)

Yes, most of the time! I really wish I had a boyfriend/girlfriend!

A little, because I feel left out.

Not really...

Nope! I have too much fun being single!
