My guy is weird. He says he will dump me if I drink a lot of energy drinks every day. Well, I know its not good for you, and I'm a soda girl, so I don't drink coffee or energy drinks all the time, and not even lately. What should I tell the dodo?

Dump him , it's that obvious.
He's got control issues.
Right now , he trying to control what you drink. Next thing you know he'll make sure you're in bed by 8pm! :P

I mean , yeah I'd be worried if the girl I cared about was loading up on energy drinks but this jerk "threatened" to dump you because of a drink.

Your boyfriend is a loser with control issues. If he wants to control your caffeine intake now, who know what he'll demand in the future.

Tell the dodo to look up the verb phrase, "to go the way of the dodo", which is what will happen to him if he keeps it up. :)

I'd be worried about my girl drinking too much energy drinks but I definitely wouldn't threaten her about it as I think most people will react in the exact opposite fashion, they'll uptake on the consumption to piss you off.

Besides, I think the worst that can happen from the energy drinks is that you become too jittery because of all the sugars and caffeine/enhancers. I don't believe that they affect the mood or personality too such an extend that people become irrational or not themselves.

I wouldn't tell him anything, when he asked for a sprite, I would give him Tonic or seltzer water and watch his reaction when he takes a sip, lol. Then open up a can of red bull, like it's a can of Whoop A$$, and say "And that's the bottom line. Because KimberlyInspired Said So! "

Hahaha, okay so that was a joke, but I think I might just have done that in your situation, lol.

What you do is next time he wants a bacardi you offer to fix him a glass. You put 4/5 monster/full throttle and 1/5 151 bacardi. It is an amazing concoction, he should change his mind.

He's being immature, you should be able to drink whatever you want even though too much of anything can be unhealthy. He shouldn't threaten you like that, he is worried about you but he's going about it the wrong way.

He shouldn't make those kind of threats. . And over energy drinks too? I think you can find a better guy BUT if you don't want to. Compromise about it and figure out why he doesn't like them and work some thing out that will make the both of you happy. If people are going to go out with one another. Never try to change one another.

How many is a lot? Does your behavior change when you drink them? Maybe you should ask him exactly what his problem with energy drinks is. Maybe he's had a bad experience.

Otherwise he might be thinking of lame reasons to break up with you because he wants to do it anyway, but isn't brave enough to tell you the real reason.

Question Asker He says a lot, like 6, and during my 6 months so far of dating him, I've never taken any energy drinks. I should ask him if an ex had problems with it, but he has issues on caffeine I guess. - 6 months ago
Answerer Yeah, sounds like there's more to this than meets the eye. Hope you sort it out! :) - 6 months ago
