I have been dating the same guy for two years and needless to say I feel in love with him. long story short I had to move to another state to take care of my sick mother but also selfish reasons I wanna get my life back together like bills and school but I didn't tell him that. Well anyway I am here and he is across the country and well a guy have liked since high school asked to hang out the other day which I new was a bad idea but I have always liked this guy and have always hoped something would happen well it did. And I don't know how to tell the other guy because every morning he texts me good morning beautiful he tells me how much he loves me he says he wants to get married he has fallen for me deep and I don't know how to hurt him. I didn't want to hurt him he was my best friend and I did love him ahhhhhhh I am just not sure what to do and its eating at me everyday!
This is why people are never honest, if you can cheat on him, then you don't love him, plain and simple. If you love someone you wouldn't hurt them. You knew it was a bad idea yet you did it. Just tell the guy because you prob left a scar on his heart by doing that.
You have to think long and hard about this. But note that it may be because you're just away from your current boyfriend. If you go back to your current boyfriend, would you still feel the same way about this former high school guy?
At the same time if you go back with your current boyfriend, and decide to stay with him you should tell him that you cheated on him. It wouldn't be right for him not to know...especially since he clearly loves you and texts you every day. If you don't tell him you're a pathetic girl. Don't hate me for saying that, but it's true. You have to be honest...and even though you can't take back cheating on him, you should at least tell him that you did, regardless if you decide to be with your current boyfriend or not.
Do what is right for both of you and cut him loose... He needs to know you you are no longer attached ( but maybe not why) and get on with his life. You need the peace of mind from knowing that you did what was best. Don't be a coward / emotional vampire :(
Think about your feelings carefully. Do you love your boyfriend or your friend more? If you are certain, for sure that you love your boyfriend more, then tell your friend that you have a boyfriend back at home. If you know you love your friend, then tell your boyfriend that you're just not that into him anymore.
Overall, don't text or hang out with your friend or contact your boyfriend before deciding who you REALLY love, because you don't want to cheat. If eithr of them finds out about you cheating, it'd be way too hard for you to gain trust again.
